Wow , just checked had no idea .

I probably would have taken the pick 4 and 7 as offered for pick 1 .To get a opportunity at 2 top 10 players IMO outweighs just 1 player who may be very good .

Edit: I do find it strange that the recruiting officer Pelchen would resign before the draft .

Both. Laverde seems to have done the same thing but earlier. He was touted as 15-20 pick a couple of months ago.

Wasn't exactly a top ten prospect but Patrick Cripps went from rated early third round to first round pick purely because of his size and ball winning ability.

I always liked this bloke, was comparable with Masten/Palmer when I was playing with them*. Excellent basketballer as well. I guess he just wasn't capable of making the next step/maybe he didn't want to.

Lucas and Lockyer worth a look at for free IMHO, talent is there.

Is Powell still worth a rookie spot? The way I see it, if he was in the draft this yer he'd still be a left field rookie selection...

Have to weight up if Carter or Wilson will be better than what Lucas can offer, I feel Carter can get better but Wilson not so sure. Lucas i have not seen enough but we do lack depth in the midfield and there is a chance we could extract something more out of Lucas?
