Welcome everybody back to the Dragons official S18 team thread.

Obviously, we've been licking our wounds a little since our capitulation in the GF against the Wonders which I think we all agree was not reward for what was a truly solid season.

There will be very important changes made to personnel to ensure we have another real dig at that elusive premiership in the coming season. For those that aren't aware, boncer34 has taken a step back from the leadership group to make the full forward position his central goal (LOL) and as such I have been moved into the co-captaincy role with Ljp86. Danoz has capped off a remarkable S17 filled with many personal achievements to take on the vacant vice captaincy role. This is your leadership group and we are here for any of you to ensure S18 is one of success.

Expansion has seen amos and The Half Back leave us and HawkPatrol and Uncle_Leo have been rewarded with form patches to find lucrative roles in new teams. They all leave with our blessing and our respect, they will always be Dragons and they shared last years highs and lows with us.

We have kicked off the delistings with the inactive (and banned) Octavia. More delistings will come so please, as a team, don't look at that squad and be complacent. We need to recruit still and work is always in place behind the scenes to ensure the Dragons are as strong as possible, despite the field narrowing with the expansion of the league. Please feel free to pop a PM to your captains should you feel you've found a new player that will be a fit.

Big season this one, Dragons. We achieved a lot last season, winning a final and making the GF but unfortunately things didn't go our way in the decider. Season 18 is a chance for us to make amends, we've shown we can mix it with the best of them and now it's time for us to show once and for all we are a force to be reckoned with and that starts right now.

Let's give it all we've got and make season 18 a memorable one for the club.
