This whole selection panel thing feels like a public relations move to ensure due diligence. Reeks of afl influence. The afl will probably pick the coach themselves.
That was how I read it.

The veneer of competence and integrity is worth a lot of dollars to the afl.
If only competence and integrity were a tradeable commodity, I reckon we'd be able to net ourselves a lot of first round draft picks with the excess that we have. Sydney, Essendon and Carlton would all give up their first rounders for even an iota of what we have.

Hell, while we're at it we may trade a little bit of our aura of success to some of the up and coming teams. Oh, and Fremantle.

why can't we wheel sheeds in on his motorised scooter...i mean come on he'd loooooooooooovvvvveeee to be back there...gosh surely he's in with a shot!!!!

He has soberly stated he'd like James to return to coaching. Then they left him off the panel. What panel? "The coaching panel."

Well.

Deeper and deeper.

Into the well.

Melbourne lawyer Jackson Taylor has launched legal action in the Supreme Court against the AFL over its handling of the Essendon supplements saga, claiming the league "engaged in multiple acts of misleading or deceptive conduct".

Taylor lodged a writ on Tuesday, alleging the breaches include "misleading or deceiving" the public over the integrity of the joint investigation in 2013 conducted by the AFL and the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority, the AFL's responsibilities for player health and safety and the AFL's corporate values.
"We rightly expect high standards of corporate conduct in this country. It is important they are upheld. It's even more important in the case of large institutions like the AFL," Taylor told Fairfax Media.

"The public is entitled to know what the AFL really stands for and the truth about many of the claims by the AFL. The AFL would not have made many of its claims unless it considered them important. It's important the public know the reality behind the AFL's public statements."

Shreeds might be a tad busy holidaying, visiting backward arse clubs for a paid chin wag session and in his spare time getting plastered with his crazy brothers at the local.
