If that combination obviously works/worked in a Final, why doesn't it work in the home and away season?

The inability for the AFL to realise colour v colour shorts would work perfectly well most of the time is a league embarrassment.

Royal vs Black for example doesn't clash at all.

Well look at the NRL for example.

Looking at that photo, no clash or reason for any team to be in white shorts, be it home, away or a final unless there is an absolute necessity. Mind you both Geelong and North look better in white shorts anyway.

I find it funny how a navy jumper and Royal jumper don't clash (WC/Adelaide) but navy shorts and royal shorts apparently do (NM/Melbourne).

Given finals are apparently "neutral", I wouldn't be surprised if that happened.

However I think we will see Richmond in their "clash" jumper.

Good thing there isn't a bit of yellow on the Port strip.

The AFL will overlook the fact that black will be the predominant colours on both uniforms, and that it's the predominant colour on both of Richmonds alternatives.

Appalling, Port should fight this tooth and nail, maybe even cop a fine to prove how ridiculous Richmond's jumper set is. It's 2014, get a suitable clash strip.
