Well, quite a few teams are not happy with the latest move from the FIA in regards to Marcin Budkowski.

Formula 1's top teams are set to confront the FIA amid growing concerns its former F1 technical chief Marcin Budkowski could be taking their secrets to Renault. The prospect of Renault hiring Budkowski was brought up in a meeting of top teams including Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull in the Sepang paddock on Friday.

In his role as head of the F1 technical department, Budkowski was in a privileged position of being privy to teams' development secrets. Competitors approach the FIA with ideas to ensure that developments they have planned comply with the regulations.

Once again, big thumbs up to Liberty media for releasing these. Makes for some interesting viewing.

Things to take out of it:
1. Drivers like to try and dob on each other
2. Perez actually cut the corner at T1 in Singapore and gained a position, but no one noticed it in the race.
3. HAM wasn't very impressed by GRO questioning the seatbelt rule at the end of a race as its drawing attention to him
4. HAM then pulled the piss out VET re: needing a seatbelt after the race due to collisions...haha
5. Some of the rules are as wishy washy as they are made out to be
6. Kimi actually smiling :O (Albeit had no idea camera was on him)

New Honda and Renault engines being introduced for the US GP. Stoffel Vandoorne will get the new Honda engine although who gets the new Renault engines is unknown.

this from https://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de (translated)

One driver from Renault, Red Bull, Toro Rosso and McLaren will move backwards at least 10 places. The reasons are motor changes outside the quota. Honda wants to debut at the GP USA with the long-awaited Spec 4.0 engine. ......Honda's last upgrade is to be distributed to two races. In Austin, .... Stoffel Vandoorne, followed by Fernando Alonso in Mexico. Of all the development steps that Honda has introduced since GP Canada, Spec 4.0 is the largest.

Renault is also using the engine change, which is due in any case, to use a new development stage. In contrast to Baku, where Renault has found around 10 hp with software changes, this time the hardware of the six-cylinder turbo is affected. The changes refer exclusively to the internal combustion engine. Sportchef Cyril Abiteboul confirms: "The modifications bring us more power in qualification and in the race. And they improve reliability. It is a nice step, which already includes solutions for our next year's engine. "In addition, new BP / Castrol petrol is added. The progress ..... is estimated to be one to one and one-half tenths.

Ferrari could quit Formula One after 2020 if the sport's new owners take it in a direction contrary to the Italian sportscar maker's interests, chairman Sergio Marchionne said on Thursday.

Marchionne told analysts on a conference call that while he supported cost-cutting, there were other strategic issues under discussion that could force Ferrari to consider racing elsewhere.

"It (Formula One) has been part of our DNA since the day we were born," he said.

"But if we change the sandbox to the point where it becomes an unrecognisable sandbox, I don't want to play anymore."
