Wade was captain last season, but he only played the one game. Webster captained 6 times and Silk 1.

I guess they've opted for someone who would be available on a more permanent basis.

Well, I don't know the circumstances, but I'm fairly sure I read that he was in the 12 and was appointed 12th man. Happy to be corrected, I don't know for certain. I guess the return of Wade had something to do with it.

Nope. Paine was the keeper. I'm saying that if they see Paine out of their top 7 bats, they should drop him because of the options they have.

Tim remains arguably Australia's finest keeper so Tassie needs him. As for his understudy or if he retires there are several fine keepers in lower tier cricket in the Apple Isle..

If anyone needs to go from the Tassie batting lineup it is Doran. The guy has lived on borrowed time for years as he had keeping to fall back on. That is no more so his miserable FC record should no longer save his demise.

Wade's cracking knock now has the Blues going from a position of strength to a ding dong battle on their hands.

That was a 12 (maybe 13) man squad. He is 12th man and been left out of the 11 because the selectors didn't pick him. There's nothing more to it.
