This is a very important tour for India. They have not won a Test match in New Zealand since the 70's. If India have dreams of being at the top of world cricket they need to be able to beat NZ away - on paper they should destroy them.

Not surprised they are taking it very seriously.

Coming back from injury and wasn't given a contract until he proves his fitness and form. RP. Singh is in the same boat, he is a good bowler and could have done a lot of damage on NZ pitches, but has been injured as well. But India showing they have a lot of depth, the new kid Dhawal Kulkarni is meant to be a very good bowler, had a great IPL, and a great domestic season, was chosen purely on form and he is only 20.

Well just checked the Foxtel web site and it seems they are. Showing the T20 on Wed 25th starts at 5pm so that's a good thing. But aren't Fox also showing the Aussie tour of SA?.

They also have to show the rest of the WI vs Eng series. Not sure how they're going to be able to show all 3 series.

Yeah going to be interesting, unless they only concentrate on the Aus V SA matches and show highlights of the other series?
 
just checked and they're not going to show the second T20 between NZ and Ind :( might show h'lights but the Saf - Aus test match gets preference on that night (obviously).

Why the **** would India pick L Balaji?:confused:

The guy is a proven dud.

Even in his last ODI he got hammered, that should be of an enough indication of how much he sucks at international level.

His selection seriously befuddles me.

And what's with the Indian selectors to continually pick Rahul Dravid. The guy has done jack all in the last couple of years.

Dravid struggles to score runs at a healthy rate in tests. Yes, it's New Zealand, but the BCCI should be looking towards the future and Rahul Dravid is not part of that IMO

How the hell does Dravid keep getting selected for the test side?

Is a quarter of the player he once was, seems Indian selectors don't have the balls to move him on.

Balaji is not too bad, he was a gun and then stuffed his back up. Was out for 3 years I think because of it. He destroyed Pakistan in Pakistan a while ago. Can swing it in any condition, NZ would suit him.

Fox 3 and Fox HD are definitely showing the first one. The second one however is being shown at midnight on the 29th IIRC on HD (delayed). Hopefully I can get access to Fox HD over in Canberra...
