We actually won a few games, which with our list (and mounting injuries) was an achievement. For mine though it wasn't about the results, I thought JB carried himself exceptionally well in the pressers and the message he was trying to get across about playing for the jumper, wasn't afraid to drop Yaz and Menz etc.

I think SOS was just as responsible for that assessment. They would have talked.

SOS would have sat back at the games with a sinking heart evaluating every single Carlton player on the ground. Barker was just stating his views on things which just happened to line up with SOS's.
