Fyfe throws the leg out while slipping and gets reported... prepare to see him off for 2 weeks, the club stripped of points and Fyfe having to give up his first born son.

I'm only worried about this because of our previous history.

Poor kid looked devastated afterwards. Could see him trying not to cry.... won't breathe easy until Monday is finished.

Bumped the first MRP thread I can find.

Just read the round 10 MRP report. Both Walters and D.Pearce are on 2 "minor" offenses already. This time it's for melee. One more offense from either and they'll get a week.

Chook Lotto at work again. I guess the AFL is running low on cash. Greece could probably use this revenue-raising model to get itself out of debt.

How does longer get offered only a fine for an elbow to the head of Whitfield ?
And Mitchell gets a fine for his second kneeing offense in a couple of weeks !!
Happy with the Elwood result, that was purely to inflict damage, dirty prickle

His first knee was not seen to be deliberate.

Had alook at the replay of the incident: What was he going to do? It doesn't look like he was going for the ball but not like he wanted as do damage either. So he probably only misjudged the situation and was too slow a react in some proper way.

I hate how intent isn't rated higher. We continue to see these Taylor Adams and Joel Selwood incidents get off with low penalties, and the Vickery accident going the full measure! Adams and Selwood wanted to hurt the opposition player, Vickery only wanted to make space for his team mate!

Fallout from the Derby:

Alex Silvagni, Fremantle,

In summary, he has been referred directly to the Tribunal for its determination of the incident, and he cannot accept an early plea.

Chris Masten, West Coast, has been charged with misconduct (biting) against Nick Suban, Fremantle, during the third quarter of the Round 20 match between West Coast and Fremantle, played at Domain Stadium on Sunday August 16, 2015.

In summary, he has been referred directly to the Tribunal for its determination of the incident, and he cannot accept an early plea.

Of note for next week:
Jack Ziebell, North Melbourne, has been charged with striking Jack Newnes, St Kilda, during the second quarter of the Round 20 match between North Melbourne and St Kilda, played at Blundstone Stadium on Saturday August 15, 2015.

In summary, he can accept a one-match sanction with an early plea.

Based on the video evidence available and a medical report from the St Kilda Football Club, it was the view of the panel the incident should be classified as careless conduct with medium impact to the head. This offence was classified as a two-match sanction. The player has no applicable bad record. An early plea can reduce the penalty to a one-match sanction.
