5 - Essendon - Michael Hurley - desperate for Key defenders
6 - Carlton - Jordan Lisle - Best Tall Forward ?
7 - Brisbane - Steele Sidebottom hard worker will fit in with Voss
8 - Richmond - Tyrone Vickery -need a Ruckman / Forward
9 - North Melbourne - Hamish Hartlett -very good fit for north
10 - Adelaide - Lewis johnson -local but i am not confident
11 - Collingwood - Sam Blease - well you asked for Midfielders
12 - Sydney - Shuan Mckernan - best available
13 - St Kilda - Tom Swift - could play next year
14 - Western Bulldogs - Ayce Cordy F/S
15 - Geelong - Clancee Pearce - good propect for the aging backline
16 - Hawthorn - Mitch Robinson(TAS) -keeping the link alive

Lisle is good, but not that good. I don't see Carlton necesarily going tall. I actually think that they will go with a midfielder and a guy like Swift may be the man they take, or Sidebottom as it gives them a bit of extra class in the middle.

I have tried to match the selection with the clubs need rather than just best available. Carlton should pick the best forward to compliment Fev but I just don't know enough about them to know which is best. I had Tengrove in for Hawthorn but then thought he probably couldn't play next year due to his weight. Yarran is going to be a intersting pick as he is very talented but lazy similar to Buddy in his early days -just likes the glory.

Carlton will not take Lisle that early, plus Lisle is more a key back which I would say Carlton have enough depth there (I don't go for them but they do have a few defenders). They may go tall, but it won't be Lisle- Johnston or McKernan option there. I still think if available and I am not so sure he will be, they will take Hartlett or Sidebottom. Lisle is way too speculative for a top 6 pick

I think you might be right i also see port ar very keen on Vickery -nick nat to Essendon?

Nice to see something a bit different, and I tend to agree that NicNat & Hurley are the most likely of the BF top group to slide. 'Potential' ( and defenders ) tends not to be rated all that highly at the top picks.

For Richmond I'm leaning towards Trengove, or even Johnston over McKernan, but I can see arguments for all 3.
