Neale stepped away from his assistant coaching duties at West Coast Eagles due to a life threatening illness which has declined since then.
Let's hope he pulls thru, especially after the tragic recent loss of Dean Bailey.

Is there any public information about this/has there been anything.

Either way keep fighting Rev. Thoughts are with him and his family for whatever is wrong.

No not yet surprisingly , they are a bit slow on this one, Hutchy reads Bigfooty so no doubt it will be on Footy Classified Monday night!

From December 2012:

West Coast Eagles football operations general manager Neale Daniher will scale back his commitments at the club due to ill health.

Daniher announced his intention to pull back at a staff meeting this morning and the club’s list manager Craig Vozzo will be elevated to the role.

That is very scary that it can happen to so many people from the same club. They might need to check the offices / buildings where people worked as it's getting above normal levels.

It's happened before at Seven's recording studio in Brisbane where there was an extremely high rate of breast cancer for the employees. They ended up closing the building.

Wight and Bailey passing on from lung cancer as non-smokers is interesting. I think Jim died from Melanoma, which struck so hard because he didn't seek help when he first found the lump a few years before diagnosis (correct me if wrong).

Best wishes to Neale. Hope everything turns for the best.

Mark Neeld would want to check in somewhere pretty soon I'd think...
He wasn't there long enough. It is a worrying trend, though.

Robert Flower also did he not have a rather serious illness a few years ago? But most of these men are of similar ages, late 40's to in their 50's, and for so many AFL players/officials at the one particular club to suffer these serious illnesses is surely above the random odds for any other statistical group.

No such syndrome at the Tigers, so where has Melbourne been training? All the best to the 'Reverend' who is the last coach to give Dees fans some serious hope and excitement.

ABC, not Seven, but point taken.

Correct it was the ABC, be a plus if some dreaded lurgey could find it's way into the Channel 9 empire and wipe out some of the knobheads they employ as sporting commentators/experts.

Junction Oval?

Hope the Rev is ok - but come on people, leave the Today-Tonight specious s**t at the door.

Yeah was thinking that as well - possibly asbestos or something in the building?

Asbestos in a building is not a threat.

Only when it is being removed, cut up and is air-borne is it a risk. And even then it is a long-term exposure issue.

Sorry to side-track, but I see this misplaced fear of asbestos a fair bit.

Get well Neale.

We do know that Bails worked in a rat-infested office at one point. Junction Oval was a really bad setup.
