I actually applaud Port for trying to do something good like this and build some new culture. But it does look like someone just thought it would be a good idea because of the song's hook-line/title, whereas the song itself reflects nothing even football related, let alone Port Adelaide, at all. It's just a pop song, and the lyrics are clearly written about a "boy-girl" relationship. It's that aspect that makes the whole thing a bit cringeworthy. A bit of a try-hard Liverpool thing, but not well thought through.
Here's the actual lyrics, judge for yourself.
Don't ask me
What you know is true
Don't have to tell you
I love your precious heart
I, I was standing
You were there
Two worlds collided
And they could never tear us apart
We could live
For a thousand years
But if I hurt you
I'd make wine from your tears
I told you
That we could fly
'Cause we all have wings
But some of us don't know why
I, I was standing
You were there
Two worlds collided
And they could never ever tear us apart
