I just can't get my head around what we should do about social media misinformation, I need to contemplate it further but what I would insist on, is that the Federal Government legislate what the mainstream media puts forward as it's code of conduct but which it patently ignores.
If we could get some semblance of factual reporting in the mainstream media by calling out lies and misinformation, then it may well make the population less susceptible to the garbage that proliferates in social media.
