Unable to contest in the air.

Unable to stem momentum.

Unable to prevent ball movement.

Unable to move the ball.

Unable to tackle.

Unable to cause a turnover.

Unable to punish turnovers.

It’s ok guys, we’ll be fine.

I wonder if Xerri has been instructed to take possession of the footy in the ruck or he just does it?? We’ve looked more dangerous when Larks has taken the ruck.
He’s been told not to.

tazaa can confirm.

He’s just a complete lug.

McDonald has been good. He’s beating Owens.
Yeah agree, but I was talking about him putting the heat on all the leadership/veteran group after the s**t performance against the crows.

The numbers do the talking, just like our leadership group.

All talk..

At the game it actually feels better watching the effort than on TV. It’s just movement that’s the issue. Whether going forward (looks like always have to scrap it forward) and the lack of opponent on turnover.
Larkey looks gassed missing easy marks ? Playing ruck knocking him about.
Jy I’ve been a critic but he’s going hard at the ball.
LDU nowhere to be seen but xerris ruckwork does not contemplate his game at all.
Archer has amazing pressure.

Umpires level up to basic competence in the second half challenge checklist:
  • it isn't out on the full if it didn't come off a boot
  • it isn't 15m if it only goes 5m, and it is 15m if it clearly goes 20m+
  • it isn't advantage if everybody stops and you explain the decision in full and they play on from ahead of the mark afterwards
  • when you've paid a mark or free kick, an unmanned opposition player can't just dawdle nearby and then be involved in the play when it's play on
  • the holding the ball rule exists and you can actually pay it

(I know we're not helping ourselves, but seriously, how is it possible that only 36 people do this in a given round and yet this is the standard that's accepted?!)

Its a better effort if you take out about 25 minutes of game time.

The patches have been sustained a little longer this evening than previous weeks..

Just gotta stay in the contest a lottle longer.

Poor fundamental skills hurting again.

To have so many players in our side who have zero impact on the game is heartbreaking to watch, so much deadwood.
We play three layers down with Stephenson, Drury (and now LDU).

We are too sh*t to make these dumb decisions at the selection table.

Shiel been both good and bad.

Xerri great so far.

Wardlaw is giving his heart.

Archer is a fantastic defender.

McDonald much better.

McKercher just finds the ball is smart with it.

Powell has been completely ineffective. Might prefer Phillips out there.

Comben continuing to grow.

Jy is trying but is just so out of form, it’s kind of embarrassing.

Tucker and Scott been decent.

Zurhaar and Duursma pretty crap from no opportunities.

It’s good seeing Larkey add a pulse in the ruck. But you know any second it could turn to ruin (touch wood). It would be nice if we could get someone to teach him how to use body to take a mark or halve a contest.

Everybody else kind of not worth remembering.

Just want to put it out there. I reckon shiels has been great today. Does not have to give a f**k about our jumper but, at 33 with 3 flags, he is playing like it means more to him than most.
