The Hawks are on the road seeking redemption for their first loss of the season at the hands of the Casey Demons last Sunday. The Bullants, as a standalone club, have got their season off to a rocky start, having won only one game so far this season, albeit against a reasonable team, with the Bullants beating the Swans by 27 points at Preston City Oval. However, they were thrashed by Southport up on the Gold Coast last weekend (18.20.128 to 7.4.46) so will be looking for a measure of redemption and the opportunity to get their season back on track.

Box Hill's loss to Casey broke a run of four straight wins for the Hawks (from the first four games they played in the season) and was only the second time so far this season that the Hawks failed to crack the century mark (Box Hill kicked 14.13.97 in round 1 against the Swans). The Hawks had no answer to Melbourne-listed Jake Melksham, who proved the difference between the two teams by kicking four goals and accumulating 19 disposals that put his name squarely before the Melbourne selectors. The Hawks led by six points at quarter-time but gave up six goals in the second quarter while only kicking two goals to cede the lead to Casey, which they never relinquished. The second half was a tight affair but the Demons won both quarters to run out 30 point winners.

Both clubs will have plenty to play for when they square off at Preston City Oval on Saturday afternoon.

Teams to come.

I thought that was Kosi, thanks for confirming. He really doesn't seem to care any more.
