In my experience the most commonly supported sides are Souths, St George and Brisbane.

Roosters probably not far behind.

I know this is horribly off topic, but Scorch's post has made me think a bit.

As an outsider to NRL, which clubs have traditionally had large amounts of interstate support (if any)?

I'm thinking about following NRL, as I've followed and really enjoyed Origin this year. Which team to follow though? I haven't a clue where to begin.

Pink Panthers yo. I have a pink panther jersey from a few seasons back, they are pretty good.

Souths also play once a year in Perth @ NIB

And Cairns.

They did a thing on it a while back and IIRC it was St George, Rabbitohs, Parramatta and Manly all recorded the highest out of state supporters

Parra are Abbotsfords - who cares

I usually try and pick a team that's close to the eagles, either in name of even colours. So that's either the sea eagles, or the eels (blue and yellow)
