Conditions were warm for this Clash and it would prove testing for all Players.

The first quarter provided a wonderful example of tight unrelenting Qooty between the two teams. There were evenly matched contests with the Qooty pinging between the two half back lines.

Las Vegas veteran Test Tickle opened proceedings with a sharp goal. Roys' spearhead Zevon soon replied. Slick work between Bears evergreens Art Vandelay and JoshWoodenSpoon resulted in the Bears' second, providing some reward for their team's efforts. A goal to Cap at the midway point saw the Bears open a handy 14 point break.

Facing a real challenge the reigning Premiers knuckled down and fought back with a critical goal to Mike and another from Wosh. At 'Oranges' the Bears led by the smallest of margins.

The war of attrition continued in the opening phase of the second quarter. A great piece of team play saw the Bears get their 4th via the dangerous Matera92. A sharp snap from zackah evened the scoreline. A one person piece of brilliance by feared Roys enforcer, Allikat, gave the Roys the lead for the first time. Again a brilliant team effort led to a Bears goal from JoshWoodenSpoon.

The rest of the quarter was goal for goal with much individual brilliance but even better Team Qooty. Halftime saw heat affected and walking wounded stagger to the sheds for rehydration. The Bears had doubled their lead to a bare 2 points.

The Premiership quarter commenced with the Bears on top but shocking inaccuracy saw them fail to press the advantage. Another piece of brilliance by Cap did see the Bears skip out to a 7 point lead. The Roys Kabanna then swung into action and in a fierce display of Qooty turned the tables. Unanswered goals from Kabanna, tigs2010, Zevon and the dangerous Wosh saw the Roys enter the final break with a handy margin.

The Bears needed to start the last well and they did via a team lifting goal from Millky95. But the home side's hopes were quashed as the Roys put the foot down. Quick goals from zackah, DERRINAL PHIL and Kabanna asserted the Roys dominance. In truth it must be said the Bears fought the game out to the finish and the margin at the final bell did not reflect what was an even contest for much of the day.

For the winners Kabanna with 29 possies, 2 tackles and two goals was terrific and was well supported by DERRINAL PHIL in the Ruck and Allikat who was dominant in the air, laid two tackles and had 22 possessions. The Bears were well served by Millky95 who had 8 tackles to go with 20 possessions, Broken who lad 7 tackles and had 20 possessions and Test Tickle who had 26 possessions and two goals.

This match pitted an in-form Royals against a Dragons outfit experiencing a rare tough season. How did it pan out? This match was also notable for it being the 500th time Pie 4 Life had graced the Qooty field.

For the Dragons the match began with great promise as scores were level. So as the first quarter began the contest was indeed close.

Royals crackerjack winger Kapow ! ! ! opened proceedings with a nifty goal but this was soon replied to by the Dragons' promising Braklet. In the lead up there was a crunching tackle on Spookism that had the home crowd gasping for the talisman of bad luck. Happily Spook was able to soldier on. A quick exchange of goals saw both mobs neck and neck midway through the quarter.

A couple of handy goals from Knifey Spoony and star forward Pie 4 Life had the Dragons open a handy lead. The Royals using home ground smarts fought back with majors to Ulahoopski and the perennially underrated grumbleguts giving them a narrow quarter time lead.

Q.2 saw some fine text book play by both outfits. The Royals began to edge ahead after a couple of snags from The Filth Wizard, another from Ulahoopski and one from PMBangers. The highlight of the quarter was however some magnificent Dragons' teamwork resulting in a classic Qooty goal to VandoHawk.

The third quarter commenced with the Royals enjoying a useful 15 point margin. The ageless The Filth Wizard soon snagged his 3rd and 4th and the Royals extended their margin despite a handy goal from Hatchy1992. Then followed a really tough period of uncompromising Qooty, broken finally by The Filth Wizard who booted his 3rd for the quarter. A late goal from the irrepressible Stoods cut the margin back to 18 at refreshments giving the Dragons a sniff.

Q.4 began with another clever goal from The Filth Wizard and a second from Krakouers and the Royals were on top. The Dragons however fought back with telling majors from DragoDelph and Hatchy1992 bringing the margin to a gettable 15 points. Both sides dug in (tho trenches are a little odd) and it was close until Cakeater snagged a classic.

With a comfortable margin the Royals relaxed and in a jiffy Hatchy1992 dobbed two and the impressive Braklet another. What was happening? A boilover? No, a narrow but fine win to the Royals and a harrowing loss to an unlucky and inaccurate Dragons.

GreyCrow was exceptional in the Ruck with 14 hitouts, 27 possessions and 5 tackles while CakeEater had a great game with 27 possessions and 6 jarring tackles while The Filth Wizard's 6 goals were also decisive for the winners. For the Dragons, DragoDelph was a menace all day with 26 possessions and 7 rib shattering tackles. They were well supported by Hatchy 1992 and Braklet up forward.

    Goals:

    Gold City Royals:
    The Filth Wizard 6, Krakouers 2, Ulahoopski 2, CakeEater, Camros2, grumbleguts, Kapow ! ! !, nahnah, PMBangers

Another warm day greeted the Sin City Swamprats and the Coney Island Warriors. Both teams were hell bent on a win.

The first Quarter was nip and tuck ( a procedure Turbo might consider in the off season) with goal for goal in a very tight affair. The Warriors established a handy 9 point lead via fine finishing of upfield work by FootyGuy13, Piggy Smalls and a special goal from HoFamer pantskyle. The locals had plenty to cheer about with great goals from Gremio Power and Power Raid.

Q.2 commenced hard and tough with an exchange of points until the enigmatic sataris scored a classic opportunist goal. darthmann broke the deadlock with a nice goal putting the locals in front. ShaunDuggan and then sataris extended the Swamprats lead to 16 points.

The Premiership Quarter is a sore point for the Warriors and would it prove their undoing? Yessiree (Tonga) Bob! In an entertaining quarter the Swamprats built on their advantage opening a 23 point lead. so ataris had continued to provide a target for fine upfield work for the locals, while SBYM and Reginald Perrin capitalised on smart play from the visitors.

The last quarter commenced with both mobs locked and loaded. darthmann and then okeydoke 7 slammed through goals for the locals giving them a 33 point lead early in the last. This eventually ballooned to a 43 point win to the Swamprats.

For the winners Dominic03 had a day out with 33 possessions and 11 telling marks. Grav with 25 disposals and 12 crunching tackles was immense as were GotTheGoodes and BloodySwan who racked up the possessions. For the Warriors none were more stoic than Mofra with 23 disposals and 9 marks. Agent93 had a strong day with 24 possessions and a goal as did WaywardSon with 22 disposals and 10 marks.

    Goals:

Sin City Swamprats: darthmann 3, okeydoke 7 3, sataris 3, Power Raid 2, Shaun Duggan 2, Ticky009 2, Gremio Power,

Coney Island Warriors: Piggy Smalls 2, Reginald Perrin 2, Agent93, FootyGuy13, pantskyle, SBYM

In Round 11 as the Season 34 approaches the business end, the Royals clashed with the Bombers in a crucial match of the round game. The Bombers silenced the crowd early with Justabattler on fire early. Kicking his first after iDon provided some forward pressure, then adding a second with a clever snap after the Bombers win it out of the middle from the clearance. Then the game turned as the Royals took over the game, the midfield providing plenty of opportunities for their dangerous forwards like grumbleguts and Sarahsmiles. A run of 6 consecutive goals gave Gold City a lead of 24 going into the first change.

Royals stretched the lead out to 32 points with CakeEater in form, but an iDon goal at the 18th minute mark sparked the Bombers inspired a comeback. Goals to kickthething and The Greatest Ava brought the margin down to 13, but The Filth Wizard put it back out to 19 with a late goal before half time.

After half time, Baghdad came out a different team, booting 5 goals to 1 in the quarter as Sun Ra and The Greatest Ava got on top on the inside while also hitting the scoreboard. The Bombers took a margin of 7 into 3QT as the Royals had seemingly stopped.

NTRabbit got the important first goal of the fourth quarter to make it a one-point game. But iDon booted through goal number 4 after the Bombers burst away through the center clearance via HaroLad and Bovo to immediately respond. Bombers won another center clearance and missed a couple opportunities before a burningdwarf intercept set up HaroLad to goal and extend the lead to 15. After that, the Bombers ran away to be 26 point winners completing a great comeback win.

A rainy day at VC Park in Round 11 set up a hard fought contest between the Coney Island Warriors and the East Side Phoenix.

The match began with an arm-wrestle as the sides traded goals. SBYM opening the Warriors' account, before two goals to Itsmyshow gave the East Side the advantage. His opposite number Dinsdale up the other end would respond with two goals of his own and when Tonga Bob converted to make it three in a row for the Warriors it looked like they would take the upper hand. However, consecutive goals to akkaps snatched back a one-point lead for the Phoenix at quarter time.

Spudmaster goaled early in the second to give the Warriors back the lead. Goals were hard to come by in the slippery conditions and it wouldn't be until the 14-minute mark before Dinsdale's third goal put Coney Island up by 11. From there, the Phoenix would turn momentum around, kicking 3 goals to take the lead after an inspiring burst from Itsmyshow. Reginald Perrin kicked a steadier just prior to half time to get the margin back to 3.

The Warriors controlled the game early in the second half but were wasteful. Missed chances from toxic, and two to Dinsdale meant they drew level. Eventually, Footyguy13 would take the chance to put the Warriors in the lead but it would soon be offset by Drunkgoliath's reply. As the speed went out of the game, the Warriors would wrestle their way to a 12-point lead before a goal to The Blue Weirdo brought it back within a kick at the final change.

The teams traded goals early in the final quarter but it would be the Warriors who would finally outlast the Phoenix. Goals to Dinsdale and SBYM put them up a decisive lead of 20, a 5th goal by Itsmyshow gave the Phoenix some hope but that was taken away by a forward half turnover caused by Piggy Smalls that allowed the Warriors to answer and run away to win by 5 goals.

Round 11 saw the Swamprats take on the Wonders in critical clash that will shape the top 8 as both teams were vying for that remaining finals spot.

Both teams were fired up early with the ball going from end to end. Okeydoke7 was confident and kicked 2 goals in the first quarter. The Swamprats had the better of general play but opportunistic goals to Soggy2112, Wojcinski and dogs105 meant that the Wonders were well in the game.

In the opening part of the second quarter, both teams found it hard to score as defense tightened up. The Swamprats would find the breakthrough via a GremioPower torpedo and a goal to sataris quickly followed. It looked like the Rats would get away until an inspirational two-bounce goal by Cubs2Lions breathed life back into the Wonders. Momentum would swing but both teams would be inaccurate, the only goal for the rest of the quarter to okeydoke7 as the Rats took a 17-point buffer to half time.

The Swamprats burst out of the blocks in the second half, getting the first two goals and extending the margin out to 30. However, from there the Wonders would kick it up a notch dominating on the back of Cubs2Lions who was absolutely everywhere. They'd kick the next 3 goals before okeydoke7 pounced on defensive error to get the Swamprats back a 16-point lead.

The final quarter saw the Wonders on the charge and the Rats looking tired. Goals to dogs105 and SM quickly brought the margin back within a kick. Another steadying goal by okeydoke7 was crucial against the run of play. ant555 had two chances to extend the Rats lead but missed and the Wonders would complete the comeback with a great contested mark and goal by Brenton Davy. Rats would win it out of the center to set up okeydoke7's 6th goal but SM would immediately answer drawing the score level again. With the Wonders threatening to rebound, a dubious free kick was paid to Kennedy Parker who drilled a 55m laser kick to get the Swamprats the lead late in the game and ultimately win the crucial contest.

In Round 11 at BJO, the Roys faced off against the Ophidian Old Boys team hoping to climb into the top 4. The ground was muddy and tough slog was sure to ensue.

The first quarter was a dour affair with only 1 score, a goal to Zevon being kicked at the 12 minute mark. The Roys opened the scoring in the second quarter with a quick goal to Tigs2010, but Over The Post would manage to answer for the Old Boys. Elmer_Judd then laid a beautiful bump and snapped a goal from the impossible angle to spark a 3-goal run from the Roys in quick succession that would set up a half time lead of 24. The Old Boys only with 8 points on the board.

Allikat immediately sharked a tap and burst away from the center bounce to put the Roys up by 30. The Old Boys needed to do something quick and managed to turn a bit of the momentum around but were incapable of kicking it through the goals. Elton Johns Wig, Heisenberg_ and Wickzi all scored behinds and at the end of the quarter and when Elmer_Judd found himself free in the forward line to goal twice the Roys had a 39-point lead and the contest was truly over.

In the final quarter the Roys toyed with the hapless expansion team as Zevon waltzed into an open goal in the opening minutes before Mike took a hanger over The CryptKeeper and booted another goal. Zevon got his third goal to blow the Roys lead out to 57 points. A few junktime goals to the Old Boys spared further embarrassment but it was a convincing 36-point win to the reigning premiers.

In Round 11, the Mount Buller Demons met the Las Vegas Bears at the Snow Dome with the Dees hoping to rectify a faulty second half to the season while the Bears need to win to be any hope of playing in finals.

Cap threatened to take over the game early with four scoring shots of which he converted two. The Demons were caught napping as the Bears unleashed a withering surge to kick 5.4 to the Demons' 0.1 in the first 20 minutes of the game. The Demons would claw their way back with three consecutive goals of their own through HawkPatrol, Bluelegs and CrimsonViolet/Greenery. But a late goal to Electronic_Renaissance restored the margin to 21 points.

It was more of the same in the second quarter, the Bears booted 4 unanswered goals to extend the margin out to 47 points. The home fans were shell shocked as the visitors went into the rooms with a 41-point half time lead.

The third quarter was shootout with the Demons finally coming out to play but as the teams exchanged goals the Bears still outscored them 7 goals to 6. Hate tried to lead with 2 goals in this quarter but the form of I Dont Care, HawkPatrol and Muddiemoose was simply overwhelming.

The last quarter the game was over as a contest, HawkPatrol and kane249 kicked the first two goals of the last to extend the lead out as high as 62 before the Demons kicked a few to restore some semblance of respectability on the scoreboard. The Bears with a convincing 46-point victory.

Round 11 at Ljp86's Lair on a cloudy day, it was a clash between two struggling sides as the Dragons met the Furies.

The first quarter indicated a good old-fashioned shootout as the Dragons got two goals on the board early in the game before the Furies would kick 4 of the next 5 to go into quarter time with a buffer of 9. The Furies had the better of general play and had more time in their forward half but a bit wasteful in front of goal.

The opening part of the second term was a tight affair, nobody could convert and take the advantage until Hatchy1992 scored to bring the game level at the 6-minute mark of the second quarter. From then, the Furies took control starting with a goal to Chronz followed by tugga, James Colorado and Scythe94 getting on the board to go on a 6-goal to 1 run to set up a 27-point half time lead. Hatchy1992 crucially booted a goal on the siren for the Dragons.

The third quarter started with Hatchy1992 scoring another goal within 3 minutes, but the Furies would again arrest momentum to push the lead out to 6 goals. However, on the back of an incredible 5 third quarter goals from Hatchy1992, the Dragons would bring the deficit back to just 11 points.

Tugga booted goal number 6 to start the final term. After that Pie 4 Life got on the end of a handball chain to kick a goal and take the margin back down to 10. Dragodelph and Pickitt traded goals and when a big Bradesmaen mark ended up with serial_thrilla converting a long shot for goal from the flank the game with back within a kick. crazywildhorse won an important one on one in the middle to assist Tugga in getting a 7th goal. Nixi followed with a beautiful running goal shortly after to seal the game for the Furies. Serial_Thrilla would convert to take the Dragons within 9 points with 2 minutes to spare but the Furies would hold out for the win.

In Round 12, the West Coast Wonders hosted the East Side Phoenix at The Colosseum. The Phoenix jumped out to a fast start with the first 2 goals of the game through forwards Itsmyshow and sey666. After Wojcinski put the Wonders on the board, the game would be played in the East Side's forward half. But they would fail to capitalise kicking 4 straight behinds before Itsmyshow's second goal gave them a 16 point lead. The first quarter would end with the Phoenix 14 points up.

A great contested mark by Wojcinski and a subsequent run set up a scoring chain to bring the Wonders back within 8 points after a Soggy2112 goal. But from there the Phoenix would once again dominate - back to back goals to Itsmyshow and then back to back goals to sey666 gave the Phoenix a 34-point buffer. But steadying goals to Wojcinski and jezzajay kept the Wonders in it.

In the third quarter, Itsmyshow took control once again to kick his 5th and 6th goals of the game to push the margin back beyond 5 goals and the Wonders would not managed to bridge the gap again. Phoenix running out 29-point winners.

MP_ led the way for the Phoenix with 25 disposals and 8 tackles in the middle, Itsmyshow ended up with 7 goals and 12 scoring shots. For the Wonders, Soggy2112 had 21 disposals, 2 goals and 10 tackles in a valiant effort.

In Round 12, the Las Vegas Bears travelled to Dragon Island hoping to keep their finals hopes alive against the struggling Dragons. Their desperation was evident as they put in a destructive first quarter performance to knock the Dragons down in the first round.

A 9 goal to 3 display with 5 first-quarter goals to Cap set the tone early. Test Tickle was everywhere providing drive through the middle. The game slowed down in the second term, but the Bears kicked 3 goals through Cap, Campaigner for Good and Muddiemoose to just a single goal for Hatchy1992 for the Dragons. This consolidated the Bears' hold on the game with an 8-goal half time lead.

The Dragons kept trying, Hatchy1992 trying to inspire the Dragons with three goals in the third quarter to help the Dragons win the quarter. Strigoi started winning some ruck contests and the Dragons had momentum, but Electronic_Renaissance kicked two goals in the quarter to keep them at bay.

Cap's 8th goal early in the last killed the contest and the Bears' cruised to a comfortable win.

In Round 12 at Abdu Prison, the Bombers took on the Furies in muddy conditions as the stage was set for a war of attrition. Neither team could get an advantage early in the game, it wasn't until the 14th minute of the first quarter when NaturalDisaster kicked the first goal of the game after some hard running by Moz (Cadsky). The Bombers responded when a long bomb by Sun Ra slid through the goals. The teams going into quarter time with a goal a piece.

An early goal by gab213 gave the Bombers the lead to start the second quarter, two missed chances by Tugga and then a behind to NaturalDisaster wasting the Furies' momentum. After a long stretch without a goal, omgfridge capitalised to put the Furies up by 4 points, but gab213 would kick an opportunistic goal before half time to give the Bombers back the lead.

Consecutive goals in the middle of the third quarter to Tugga and Pickitt made it look like the Furies would take the game away. But once again, the deadeye gab213 kicked a third goal to bring the margin back under a kick.

The final quarter was an arm wrestle, but when Kohphi broke through to give the Bombers the lead with an amazing 2-bounce running goal in the mud, the floodgates opened. The Furies had run out of gas and the Bombers would pile on 4 unanswered goals in the final quarter to end up winning by 18 points.

The Gumbies FFC clashed with the Gold City Royals in the Round 12 match of the round in a warm day at the House of Gumby. The home team got off to the perfect start with the first two goals through beez and Supercheapgiants. But from then, the Royals controlled general play. brahj got to work in the middle and the unconventional move of Blacky to the ruck was throwing the Gumbies off. Royals finished the quarter 10 of next 11 scoring shots for a return of 4.6, a goal on the siren by CatToTheFuture kept the margin at a kick.

The teams would go goal for goal in the second quarter - six lead changes occurred in 10 minutes. But from there The Filth Wizard would kick it up a gear, 3 goals in 5 minutes to blow the margin out to 31 points. Goals to Sky and Barrybran brought the margin back 3 goals at half time.

The game would go into a stalemate after half time, but then the Baz show would begin with 4 scoring shots in 3 minutes for 3.1 to Barrybran singlehandedly cutting down the Royals' lead to nothing. Brick Loosener added another goal to make it 6 goals on the trot for the Gumbies to give them a 6-point lead. However, the Royals would arrest the momentum back to end the quarter with three goals to PMBangers, Ulahoopski and The Filth Wizard to enter the final quarter with a 14-point buffer.

The Filth Wizard's 8th goal at the 5-minute mark of the final quarter extended the lead to 22 points. Gumbies would try to launch a comeback through goals to Catsnlakers and DenieD but The Filth Wizard would answer on both occasions quickly to bring his total 10 goals and sure up a Royals victory.

In Round 12, the Old Boys faced off against the Demons at Spotswood Oval. The Demons were in control for much of the first quarter, but they were inaccurate missing a number of gettable shots while the Old Boys took their opportunities when they came. A late goal to Yakker gave the Demons a slight quarter time lead.

In the second quarter, a second Yakker goal was answered by Old Boys spearhead Bonz. But from then the dominance of the Demons would begin reflecting on the scoreboard. cats2rise, manangatang and Bluelegs made a mess of the Old Boys' defense as the Demons piled on 6 unanswered goals setting up a margin of 43 at half time.

Bluelegs' fourth major took the lead out to 49, before the Old Boys attempted to rally with consecutive majors to Tigerturbulance and Wickzi. This did not last as the Demons' midfield ran rampant. Six different goalkickers scored the next 6 goals unanswered to blow the margin out to 74 points at 3QT.

The shambolic display continued for the Old Boys in the final quarter as Bluelegs filled his boots with four final quarter goals to bring his tally to 8 at full time and the Demons won by 92 points.

In Round 12, the Roys travelled to Van Cortlandt Park heavy favourites to put away the lowly Warriors.

The reigning premiers asserted their dominance early absolutely crushing the Warriors in the first quarter in all aspects of the game with 15 scoring shots to no score for Coney Island. However, inaccuracy meant the Roys only had a 35-point lead at quarter time with zackah in particular wasteful with 3 misses. But 2 goals to Elmer_Judd and goals to tigs2010 and Zevon set up the game.

FurTheWin would get the Warriors on the scoreboard in the second quarter, but that was soon followed by 3 consecutive Roys goals to blow the margin out to 46. Dinsdale would attempt to singlehandedly drag the Warriors back in it with a hattrick of goals as the Warriors managed to win the second quarter.

Warriors continued to be competitive after half-time, clawing the margin back to 20 after Dinsdale's fourth goal midway through the term. But the Roys regained control in the latter half of the third, Mike and Zevon restored 35-point quarter time buffer.

The Roys finished off the game with a 5 goal to 3 term to run out 48-point winners. Zevon ended up with a bag of 6 goals. tigs2010 led the way in the middle with 20 disposal, 7 tackles and a goal, Allikat had a prolific 27 disposals, while TheInjuryFactory fought hard for the Warriors with a 23 disposal, 8 tackle game.

One round to go has Tigerturbulance is in the box seat it would take a massive steal for him to not walk away with a Mobbs Medal. Note that The Greatest Ava having been banned more than once this season for breaking board rules is in fact ineligible so only tigs2010 could possibly take the medal away from him. Tarkyn_24 could also possibly win a share of the Mobbs Medal if he polls 3 votes and the winner polls no more than 18.

It's down to the wire folks...

In the final round of the home and away fixture for Season 34, the Furies took on the Gumbies at the hippodrome. After an arm wrestle to open the match, before a nice chain of handballs set up Scythe94 to put through a goal from point blank range at the 11 minute mark. The Furies arrested the momentum from there, consecutive goals to omgfridge put them in control as they kicked 6 goals in the quarter to go into the first break with a 29-point lead.

The Gumbies would fight back in the second term, booting 5 goals to 2 as Catsnlakers inspired the team with 3 goals in a quarter, one in the dying minutes of the quarter to pull the margin back to 11 points.

The two sides would go goal for goal in the third, but with NaturalDisaster and crazywildhorse controlling the midfield, the Furies would restore their 5-goal lead after omgfridge put through his third goal. But a goal after the siren by beez gave the Gumbies some hope.

However, by the final quarter the Gumbies had run out of petrol as the game was played mostly in the Furies front half. Comfortably cruising to win by 3 goals with Jyedye leading the way with 32 disposals and 2 goals.

In the final round of the home and away fixture for Season 34, a desperate Las Vegas Bears outfit hosted a Bombers lineup that had already booked their spot in the top 4. The Bears need to win and rely on other results to make finals.

In a back and forth first quarter, the Bears' supreme accuracy gave them the ascendency, they kicked two goals going coast-to-coast from a kick-in via Art Vandelay_ and I Dont Care, and Campaigner for Good was influential. First a goal from a clearance himself and a tap to set up a clean clearance goal for Joshwoodenspoon.

It was an old-fashioned shootout, a second goal to gab213 and PetWussy setup a goal to Justabattler to bring the margin back to single digits. But the Bears would prove too powerful as they continued their insane accuracy to lead at half-time scoring 80 points in a half.

Bears stayed in control in the second half, a gift to Muddiemoose thanks to a kick across goal by the Bombers put them up 38-points. But two consecutive goals to The Greatest Ava to end the third gave the Bombers hope of a comeback.

The Bombers tried to launch an assault in the final term led by 2 more goals from gab213, but I Dont Care's 6-goal game ensured that the Bears would hold on for a 23-point win.

In the final round of the home and away fixture for Season 34, the Sin City Swamprats travelled to The Eyrie to take on the Phoenix in a crucial clash - for the winner, finals in ensured and the loser will be relying on other results.

From the outset, the Swamprats burst out of the blocks with the first four goals of the game to take 22-point lead. Two early goals to okeydoke7 and ShaunDuggan starring in the middle. A brilliant Wise Guy Sam bomb sparked the Phoenix back to life. It was the first of three goals in three minutes for the East Side as the margin was cut back to a kick in no time. Sataris kicked a steadier for the Swampies to take the quarter time margin to 9 points.

In the second quarter, the Swamprats will gain the ascendency again, pushing the lead back out to 24 points after consecutive goals to Okeydoke7 and Philreich. But Wise Guy Sam would step up again with a goal to turn the run of play. Red time goals to Shermy and MP_ took the Phoenix back within a kick.

In a see-sawing third quarter, the Swamprats took a 10-point lead into the final change. After the Phoenix got the critical first goal of the final quarter through jmoo wan thanks to an akkaps bump setting up the 7-point play. The margin was back within a kick, philreich's third goal and HirdsTheWord scoring a major got them a 15-point buffer. However, from there momentum swings again, set up by crucial contest wins by thewizardmelon, the Phoenix would kick the next 21-points unanswered in the next 6 minutes.

A third sataris goal put the Swamprats back in the lead by 1-point, but once again Wise Guy Sam would put through his third goal to give the Phoenix the lead back one more time. In a frantic final few seconds, Philreich poleaxed Zoops to allow sataris to pounce and put the ball through the middle sticks a fourth time, but the siren had beaten the Swampies before the ball left his boot.

In the final round of the home and away fixture for Season 34, the high-flying Roys hosted a Wonders team hoping to get themselves a finals berth. The Wonders needing a win to make the 8.

The teams traded goals to start the game, but consecutive goals to Soggy2112 gave the Wonders an 11-point advantage. But as the quarter drew to a close, the Roys kicked it up a notch and ended the first quarter with 3 goals to Mike, hotchilli and royboy2 ending a first quarter shootout with an 8-point lead.

A goal to SM got the Wonders back to within a kick at the start of the second quarter, but it was all the Roys from there kicking the next four goals to take a 24-point lead into half-time.

It was another goal for goal quarter in the third, during which Zevon notched up his fourth goal as the Roys powered through to a 29-point advantage at the final change. The Wonders simply could not keep up with the Roys' intensity and when Zevon kicked goal number 6, the lead ballooned to 52-points. In the final round of the home and away fixture for Season 34, the Ophidian Old Boys clashed with a lowly Dragons FFC at Spotswood Oval in a must-win scenario for the Old Boys to make finals.

Old Boys got off to the ideal start with Mrs Turbo setting up Mobbs who runs into an open goal square. But from then on, the Old Boys would have the yips kicking 7 consecutive behinds. Blaze Storm and Hatchy1992 would also miss chances for the Dragons and a Heisenberg_ intercept would allow Bonz to take a long shot for goal to break the duck. Old Boys leading by 12 at the first change with 10 scoring shots to 2.

Bonz would continue his chase for the Fred with 2 goals in the second quarter, but Hatchy1992 would counter from the other end with 2 of his own and when Strigoi goaled before half-time the Dragons only trailed by 18 points despite the Old Boys dominating midfield.

MC Bad Genius opened up a 4 goal lead for the Old Boys quickly, but an answer by A Swallow and Strigoi's goal put the Dragons back within 13 points. Another Bonz goal was followed by a Pie 4 Life goal, but that was as close as the Dragons would get. Two goals to Wickzki, Mrs Turbo and Heisenberg_ put them 37 points up at the final change.

The Old Boys would cruise to a 43-point win to book their spot in finals and condemn the Dragons to their first wooden spoon in their history.

The Cryptkeeper and Tigerturbulance dominated the midfield throughout the game and powered the win.
