One thing I was keeping an eye on during the Crows Tigers games was how many behinds each scored.

I was hoping Adelaide would score a few more behinds though.

How many times have both sides scored 15 or more behinds? Is 18 or more each the record?

Just from my memory bank.....1970 PF saw Carlton beat St.Kilda something like 17.21 to 7.19.

One from my 'Worst games ever seen' file, Geelong 9.28.82 vs Richmond 13.18.96 at K.P in 1990.

Rd 3 1981 saw Carlton 14.24 beat Fitzroy 12.20.

Indeed the 1981 season saw some amazing behind tallies scored...indeed 30+ was reached three times!

Kevin Bartlett has the largest career disposals differential, having had 7435 more kicks than handballs. Can anybody beat Simon Black for the smallest differential? (only 18 the difference between kicks and handballs). Let's say for a career of 4000 or more disposals. If that requires too much research, make it 5000 disposals.

Found something the other way.

Daniel Kerr had 13 more handballs than kicks.

Brownlow questions.

In the last 18 games Selwood has polled in, he has either been given two or three votes.

In the last 47 games Swan has polled in, he has only been given a single vote on five occasions.

Questions are:

What is the longest steak of two or three votes polled?
What is the highest percentage ever (minimum of 30 games polled in) of a player receiving two or three votes over their entire career? I'm guessing there won't be a player over 90%.

I think Coondog is your answer. I found these (NB: table not complete):

| 3s | 2s | 1s | Polled | (2s or 3s)%
\Dan Hannebery* | 9 | 8 | 1 | 18 | 94.44%
\Merv Neagle | 15 | 12 | 2 | 29 | 93.10%
\ Adam Cooney* | 14 | 15 | 3 | 32 | 90.63%
\Barry Round | 14 | 9 | 3 | 26 | 88.46%
\Roy Wright | 17 | 11 | 4 | 32 |87.50%
\Gary Hardeman | 12 | 14 | 4 | 30 | 86.67%
\Graham Teasdale | 20 | 5 | 4 | 29 | 86.21%
\Peter Knights | 18 | 13 | 5 | 36 | 86.11%
\Trent Cotchin* | 13 | 11 | 4 | 28 | 85.71%

Daniel Kerr had 28 in a row to finish his career. Tony Liberatore had a streak of 19. The comes Selwood on 18 and Simon Black on 17.

Votes only available on a game by game basis since 1984, of course.

Set your own cut-off, maybe post-WWII or since the inception of a 20- or 22-game season:

What's the record for most games in a season where a side has scored
a. < 40 points (Melbourne currently have 6) ?
b. < 7 goals (Melbourne currently have 8) ?

GWS scored 1270 points in 2012. Melbourne are on target for 1320 or 60 per game over 22 rounds.
In more recent times, what are the worst "Points For" totals?
Since 1970 (min 22 round season), 1270 has been the lowest followed by 1452 (Fitz in 1996) and 1455 (Melb in 2013).

Melbourne are on 1190 with 2 games to go, WCE (S) and NM (ES). I'd say they are no guarantee to average 40 over the next 2 weeks.

most consecutive games where a team has kicked more goals than behinds?

14|Es|1985 R9 - 1985 R22
\14|Ha|2014 R6 - 2014 R20
\13|PA|2002 R3 - 2002 R15
\13|Es|2004 R3 - 2004 R15
\13|St|2004 R13 - 2004 PF
\13|Ge|2011 R9 - 2012 R21
\12|Ca|2004 R2 - 2004 R13
\12|WB|2007 R20 - 2008 R9
\12|WC|2011 R19 - 2012 R3

And Hawthorn's run ends with their 13.13 today. The last time they were ahead today was at HT with 10.9.

Geelong sits second on the ladder with 16 wins. Counting down to Essendon in 8th, the teams 2nd-8th have won 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11 and 10 games respectively.

My question is, is this a record number of teams who sit exactly one position and one win below the team above them at any stage of any season?

1900 Round 10 and 1902 Round 7, all eight clubs were separated by one win.

Also 1955 R13 and 1973 R17, 2nd to 9th on both occasions.
