Look at some of those names. Kyrgiakos, J.Cole, Jovanovic, Spearing, Darby, Poulsen, Konchesky. What a bunch of spuds. We have come on in leaps and bounds now.

This is excellent news for us. With a packed fixture list this season it will be important for Gerrard to get regular breaks which will happen now.
114 caps too. Decent effort that. To go out on his own terms is also great for him. You dont want to be in that situation where you dont get picked in the squad and then announce your retirement.

Balotelli would be a really dumb move. One basket case for another.
Really happy with the Remy move.. Allows Sturridge to be the main man and we get a quality good for 15 goals a season striker in at a cheap price.. good move! Can see him scoring goals in Europe if he's mainly used as a substitute in the league.
Don't see why that would stop us.. we've got the funds, we need the depth, and there's no guarantee Markovic will be ready to perform to the standard we need in his first year in the prem league.

think it's a silly comment to say we don't need him. we could have 50+ games next season and if we want to compete in all top competitions and build a squad that can be up there with the best we need depth in big quality. And if we have the money to spend, which we do, we should be using it. If not Shaqiri I am still hopeful/ expect a marquee signing in the winger/attacking mid/ versatile attacking mould.
