Every club in the league, even the ones who have had very little success over recent years still have a big key dangerous fwd lurking with the potential to kick a big bag regularly. We lack that one player who can stand up grab the game by the scruff and say I am going to win it of my own boot, some people may argue the fact that GAJ, or dog is that player but they are yet to do it, if we had that big powerful fwd with the potential to kick a bag of six or eight, it would give so much more confidence to the players up field to kick it in our fwd 50 with a bit of direction, rather than this crap style of kick to kick and keepings of style that we constantly stuff up.
Matty Scarlett is probably the only player on our list who I would say has qualified for super star status but he plays at the wrong end of the ground (to get the same sort of recognition as key fwds that is), I know we have said it for years but with our current crop of players it is hard to see a quick fix fellas (and more recently girls!!)!
Key fwds who can potentially win matches of their own boots are not easy to find. I know that is stating the blaringly obvious but all sides with premiership success have had that one dominant link in their team!
