Not a bad run home, we can indeed and should make top 4 from here although we need to keep winning to fend Bendigo off. Therefore our game against Bendigo is crucial, as is Casey at Casey. We should win the rest so win at least one of those two and I think we will be top 4.

I tend to agree that availability of afl players will affect our finals campaign, as we know if older guys aren't playing seniors they are probably more likely to be rested than play vfl, so if we have a lot of changes to the senior side in the run home it does weaken the vfl team. If the afl side drops off finals contention they will want to debut more kids which will weaken the vfl side, if the senior side is a real shot for 6th/7th/8th then the vfl team should have a lot of afl listed players in it. That said, our vfl list with Gleeson a great addition to an already strong vfl core, is better than it's ever been, and they will lead the charge. Port are very formidable but I think we're in with a real chance and we know we can beat them as we've done it before.

M.Brown (Def): 22disp, 10mks.. 95pts. Impressive game across half back. Provided plenty of rebound from defense with his impressive kicking.
L.McCarthy (For): 18disp, 7tcks.. 73pts. Wasn't as prominant with his disposals than other weeks, but added a lot of forward pressure to the contest.
D.Simpson (Ruck): 14disp, 40ho.. 103pts. Dominant game in the ruck and around the ground. Laid four tackles including a fantastic chase down, and took two contested marks.. one at either end of the ground. Red letter game.
J.Murdoch (HB): 16disp, 1gl.. 76pts.
Impressive game running off half back. 50% efficiency by foot, but wasn't afraid to break the lines and take on the opponent. Good at getting the last second handball away to a teammate. Showed great ferocity.
O.Stephenson (Ruck): 19disp, 7tcks.. 137pts. Second ruck behind Dawson, and while he wasn't as versatile around the groud, the 7 tackles and 9 marks helped lift Geelong.
J.Bews (BP): 9disp, 3tcks.. 37pts. Quieter game than we are use to from Jed. Showed a bit later in the game and has been making good progress this season.
T.Gillies (BP): 9disp, 4mks.. 43pts. Plays on the third and fourth key back which frees him up for the rebound. Still yet to really dominate a game, but is contributing on the attack.
G.Horlin-Smith (Mid): 28disp, 13hb receives.. 109pts. Only running at 50% by foot, but a solid game through the midfield, being rewarded with 2 goals. Showing all the right signs to become a regular in 2013.
S.Hogan (Mid): 22disp, 55% efficiency..80pts. Solid game in and under the packs but the efficiency tells a tale. Great at contested footy, but relies heavily on short kicks and short handpasses with no real distance in his disposal. Will be elsewhere in 2013.
C.Eardley (Mid): 23disp, 7mks.. 80pts. An uncharacteristic 0 tackle game, but 87% efficiency shows the upside of this player. Adds real grunt to the contest and is a great attacking shut down option for the future.
S.Kersten (CHF): 8disp, 5mks.. 45pts. A much quieter game from someone who has been making great inroads this season. Was kicking at 50% which is uncharacterstic of one of the better kicks in the side.
G.Burbury (HF): 13disp, 7tcks.. 57pts. Was a game where the ball just wasn't bouncing his way. He doesn't stop trying and IMO is a perfect replacement for Corey or Corey as they reach the twilight of their careers. A tall utility with plenty of upside.
J.Hamling (FF): 13disp, 2gls.. 56pts. Operating at 46%, today was only his second game up forward. Still learning the game and will need to put on a lot of bulk to his slight frame, but shows plenty of upside. Big learning curve ahead.
J.Simpkin (C): 29disp, 14hb receive.. 105pts. Operating at 59%, another strong contested game from Joffa, but suffers with poor efficiency which hasn't improved as the season has progressed. Never stops going and will be a big performer in the finals.
R.Bathie (Def): 19disp, 5hb receive.. 67pts. 74% efficiency with his disposal and 3 uncontested marks. Has become one of the VFL Cats most important players as the season progresses. Can play on tall and small, and while he is still learning the game is coming along in leaps and bounds. Watch for his career to blossom next year.
T.Selwood (Def): 29disp, 8tcks.. 121pts. Almost a 1:1 kick to handball ratio and with 13hb received. 83% efficiency, has just shown his class all season, offering great leadership and a classy output with disposal.
J.Hollmer (For): 9disp, 4mks.. 45pts. 3 behinds, he continues to impress as a forward option in this VFL team and could be a smokey for teams willing to take a gamble. His marking is a highpoint.
J.Barham (For): 16disp, 6tcks.. 81pts. Has come along way since his form of last year, and while 56% efficiency needs to improve, he's become a much classier player this year, using his pace to good effect. Good link man across the half forward line.
A.McLean (Def): 18disp, 2 Con.Mks.. 64pts. One of the most dominant key backs in the VFL, and despite his age I think will still be closely looked at by several AFL sides as a short term gap while their younger key backs develop. Composure and efficient with disposal, Cats could do a lot worse if Scarlett retires.
C.Tutungi (Def): 18disp, 5mks.. 62pts. Had more handballs than kicks, but offers great run and leadership off the half back line. Fierce competitor with plenty of run and carry.
M.Corrigan (For): 22disp, 6hb received.. 88pts. Only working at 50% effiency, it's his second efforts and quick thinking which is becoming a valuable asset in the VFL Cats forward line. Classy performer with plenty of class and a great goal sense.
R.Condy (Def): 9disp, 5hb received.. 26pts. Much to the enjoyment of Pies fans heckling Condy for his defection over the summer, wasn't his best game and was shuffled on the field a lot. Keen to bounce back.
