Anyway, Dick has multiple vacancies to fill with Bootsma, Duigan, Scotland and McInnes all gone. Aside from Sheehan debuting down back, Mick seems to want to shed specialist back pockets/hbfs in favour of versatility.

So a medium midfielder with defensive traits would certainly be welcome. I'm not sure which of Ellis/Langford/Blakely/Cockatoo/Menadue in the 185-190cm range fits that bill in terms of being asked in his first 2 seasons to become a weapon off half back.

Unless there is a clear standout I favour going for a KPP - we don't have quality long term depth and they take longer to develop.

If no clear KPP talent then a pure midfielder - no flankers.
