I have completed a search through trove of Women's Football matches from WW1 to 1956. I have listed the matches in a table on my website. (I found over 150 matches and around 70+ photos)

If anyone has an old photo of knows of a game that I missed, I would be keen to add it to the list. I am fairly certain that there were many other matches.

I have to say it was a facinating search. During WW1, women played matches in long skirts, in the early 1920s games were established with quite a bit of resistance from men and from conservative women's groups.
