Some terrible noms in here. Cult figures are players that are revered not because they are guns but because they have a s**t haircut, are funny off the field or are just battlers who we admire. Some good current day examples in my opinion are

Matt Spangher (3 clubs works his ass off and it paid off + sick haircut)

LRT - see above minus 3 clubs

Lingy - Ugly mofo who was a beast of a competitor and left no stone unturned

Relton Roberts - Played two games and left to eat burgers (we can all relate)

Ivan Maric (when he had mullet)

Tex Walker (had a mullet, dumb as dog s**t but tough and courageous, very likeable larrikin)

Etc etc

Really hard to come up with a cult hero for the Pies. The only name I can think of is James Manson with his awkward kicking style and larger than life personality I remember when he would have a set shot at goal us Pies fans had to turn away until he kicked it - we just couldn't bear to watch. One time he even feigned an injury so Ronnie McKeown could take the shot. McKeown was always a great shot at goal and put it through after which Manson made a miraculous recovery.

Mark Ricciuto, our long-time captain, eight-time All Australian and only Brownlow Medallist. At the start of a recent wave of change at the club, Roo returned to sit on the board, much to our excitement.

There's Andrew McLeod, often called the most-loved Crow and greatest Crow, the only man ever to win consecutive Norm Smith Medals, five time All Australian.

Tony Modra didn't play nearly as many games but was a popular, exciting key forward and put so many bums on seats in our critical early years.

And then there's Malcolm 'Saint Malcolm the Messiah' Blight, who coached the Crows to a premiership in his first year and backed it up the next year. He was with us for a short time but will always be remembered for getting the ultimate success against adversity.
Four biggest names in your club's history = totally missed the point.

We're launching an Adelaide FC Hall of Fame next month, so it's a current topic of debate.
Plenty of champions mentioned but not a cult hero among them.

We have so many... but Bruce Doull has his own bar at Princes Park.
