Surely there's a Melbourne player who is #1??
Suuuuure bag out Tiger supporters for "never giving it a rest" in every thread. Welcome to the new order folks...
Nice prediction!
Curious why you think Kid Laroi will take out #1? Do you think it's significantly under represented? Or do you think Wiggles is over represented? Or both. I've seen a lot a Wiggles hype and hard to picture it without a solid lead.
You seem to assume we would have taken one of the big 3 with that pick #1?
If we ranked Polak at #1 then we got him + Croad (and the MacPharlin package) for pick #1. Similar to what WC did with Cesser and what we had the opportunity to do with pick 21.
It is a case of bad talent...
...Madgen to go from 44 to 43.
I suppose I'll see in the next few sessions if that continues or goes back to his original.
Big question. Who gets #1? Looks like Henry has #16. Does Lippa take 27 vacant from Poulter, or go for a fresh start with #1. I think it would be too big to give a 2021...
The real No. 1 draft pick - Nick Daicos vs. Jason Horne-Francis:
https://www.espn.com.au/afl/story/_/id/32480839/afl-2021-draft-************-espn-real-number-one-pick-jason-horne-francis-nick-daicos
Who is your #1?
Am I correct that Collingwood don't have enough points to match a bid on Daicos at pick #1? I calculate their picks #27, 36, 46, 48, 55, 58 to be 2,215 points where 2,400 are needed to match at pick #1. The Pies would need to trade the 2022 3rd rounder tied to Freo back into this year to cover...
Also how many of these generational talents were pick #1? How often to the most hyped players actually live up to it? Almost never.
Feel like you have a better chance of getting one of those types with 2 top 5 picks rather than pick #1.
What's with the pile on of Tim English?
Because a rival club might have an interest he's suddenly public enemy #1?
Reckon he's got a bucket load more courage than some of the keyboard warriors using such disparaging terms about one of our own who's done nothing wrong.
How do we get Pick #1?
We have #14, #18 next year's first and a couple of third rounders this year. Anyone come up with a scenario that gets us to the value of pick one? All in on Horne Francis!!
Could be a bit of fun, have at it....
#14, #18 and next year's first (14-18) nets between 3307...
So does North take JHF #1?
There's arguments both ways but do they? Do they really?
Where does Daics slide to if they dont?
GWS bid on Darcy then Daicos to prevent the Doggy monopoly from occurring?
Everything has its price so yes, it would be considered. But you can't pick some random situation out of your arse and say, "What about this?" What would GWS, or anyone, REALISTICALLY offer for #1?
#2, GWS's first next year, Ash and Greene is IRRELEVANT because it just isn't going to happen!
...was not a lot better, but a little better than that of McDonald. So I'd also agree with those making that argument.
Why is McDonald still my #1? I remain excited by his rate of improvement and how comfortable he looked at AFL level, even though as at WAFL League level last year he was...
Would you seriously want your club to do that and risk recruiting Sam Darcy at #1? This is the first top pick NMFC has ever had, first chance to pick the best player in the draft - doubt they want to play games with it.
So now I don't make up scenario's . others may or hear from someone that does. So...
What if Tom Doedee and #4 for #1? I have no real thoughts on the subject and couldn't careless. For those in the know what is a player at #4 you'd think would be a great get?
By us saying we will match any offer, doesn't it guarantee that North will pick him at #1? Couldn't we have possibly saved a few points by saying nothing and potentially having to match a (slightly) lower bid? Or was it all but guaranteed he'd go #1 anyway?
...to replace a 33+ year old FF and a 30+ year old ruck with two knee reco's.
Our new game plan is to play an undersized, inexperienced ruck as #1? We go from having the comps best ruck to a sub 200cm part timer? Well sure that is a big change to our game plan I will say.
And our list plan...
De Goey/Maynard for pick #1?
Yeah, no...
Why would North possibly do that when they can get a better version, 6 years younger, without the offield issues, on 10% of the wage and a kid with frankly a higher ceiling?
...--> #9
#4 --> #12 and so on.
Assuming you're happy to take the risk they won't match and happy to draft Daicos, why wouldn't another team bid at #1? Gives a good chance of sliding up a pick next year as well.
And Collingwood have shit picks to try and trade for points.
Their 42 & 48 combine...
