Membership was over 19,000 last week.
Club is in its biggest demand ever on membership thats why the delays.... its that backed up its not funny.
A huge amount havent even been processed yet.
The membership counter will not go up onto the website until the memberships are caught up and an accurate figure can be given.
My mail is that cards will posted out late Jan.
Well on target for 40,000 and a new club record.

I sent my application in last week after giving up waiting for my renewal pack. They debited the account Monday, so that part seems to be working fine.
My renewal pack was going to be delayed until February because I wanted to change things. Stuff waiting until then.
Frustrating, but it's a good sign to see our membership department so busy. Here's to 40k+ members!
I signed up on Wednesday and they said the tally is now 20,500

They ran the site last year when we had it.
Do we have no say on the site content?
Yes, the Club runs that part of the site and adding the membership metre is pretty easy done.
I think the bigger problem, leading to frustration of fans (and us not having a gig at the moment!) is that the website is being redone next month or in March so a lot of the programming staff are on that task at the moment. That is also working in with Telstra staff. I can't quite work out what it is going to look like but they are trying to relaunch the site.
Add preparations by Carlton Communications for an overseas trip and I think it's sorta on the backburner at the moment.

Firstly, why wouldn't they do the new design web site in late 2007, rather than leading up to the NAB 2008.
Without us the supporters (& payed up members) the club itself would practically cease to exist. Therefore, a simple newsletter to members may aleviate that pent up frustration (lack of information to me smells of complacency = or lack of regard to the members / supporters. Now that I've vented my spleen....*skips of into the distance*

As long as stinking Telstra have their incompetent, greedy, intransigent, couldn't-care-less wire-strippers involved, Carlton supporters can expect nothing but eye-rolling frustration from the website.
Do people really think their execs sit around a table asking questions like "What do the supporters want from the sites?"

Current membership is 22,109 still playing catch up unfortunatley with such a HUGE demand this year.All membership cards will be posted out THIS FRIDAY and will be recieved next week some time.
5.500 up on this time last year with family day still to come which always nets us a massive amount...........40,000 is in sight guys.

Good to hear that we are well ahead.
From memory we wanted 18,000 by the start of the NAB cup last year, looks like we are right on track for 40,000.
Now the boys just have to start winning to keep the momentum going.

What for 2009? It's now the start of Feb, I paid for my brothers membership at the start of November 07 and still haven't received a thing. I've rung them three times now and I get the same generic answer of "within the next two weeks". I should've bought it for him as an Easter present as that appears realistic.

Aside from opening up a nice gift Chrissy morning, who gives a rats when the ****ing card arrives as long as it does so before you need to use it? I know some people like to sleep with it under their pillow and when we start to belt teams it is always good to have on show when you flip your wallet, but FFS stop whingeing. They're doing their best in the membership department - relax.

Any chance you could give us say a weekly membership update until it is up on the website. I know alot of us posters would appreciate it, including me.
