Yeah thats what i'd be doing too, but i'd be disapointed if this is correct that Mal is playing and Lee isnt.

Mal hardly raised a sweat last week, as opposed to Lee who tirelessly worked his guts out against the odds. Maybe at this stage Mal is the more fresher of the two.

Your ****ing joking aren't you?

Some players have a charmed career, yet some struggle to get onto the park. He'll get his chance but it is annoying to hear he is injured.
I see Merrett isnt playing so I believe Johns has the chance to have a field day on Saturday. Wwho do you think will line up on him? They dont have many options. Who is their CHB normally too? Cannot think of one.

See no reason why Johns cant kick 5 on Saturday night. No-one really to line up on him like you said, no lloyd or lucas to get in the way, hoping he is our target pretty much every time we go foward.

The weather and ground conditions will have a say on how CJ performs.

Lee didn't train yesterday som may have an injury - from BB.

Just because he didn't train doesn't mean he is injured.

Knighter has placed a far greater emphasis on rehab and management.

I don't know one way or the other if he is injured or not but just because he didn't train, doesn't mean he is injured.

Hille or McPhee, which one for captain?

I'll vote for Smokey, Hille has had a crack at it before...

McPhee for sure. From what I saw last year, Hille's attitude leaves a lot to be desired. Reckon Hille's lucky to be on the list and getting a game, let alone be the skipper. Laycock will be our number 1 ruck by Round 12!

As for Dyson, became my favourite player the first time i saw him play. Beautiful kick, poise through the midfield, and pace! He's got everything going for him and i'm looking foward to seeing him play 20odd games this year, playing more than 40mins in them too.

I loved Dyson early days too. How things change! :o

I'd prefer 20-22 "good" games and only one or two "odd" games this year. Dyson's played enough "odd" games already to last him for three careers!

That is a bit harsh. When he is good, he is really very damaging, yet he leaves a lot to be desired when he isnt on song:o I think Laycock will overtake him this season but we need him as our second ruckman. Still needed in the team.
I agree though. McPhee for captaincy.

How I would line up for nab match.

B - S.Lonergan, M.Michael, T.Pears
HB - N.Lovett-Murray, P.Ryder, J.Nash
C - C.Dempsey, A.Monfries, B.Houli
HF - A.McPhee, S.Gumbleton, D.Myers
F - K.Reimers, C.Johns, R.Dyson
FOLL - J.Laycock, H.Slattery, J.Johnson
INT (from)- D.Hille, D.Peverill, C.Hooker, R.Magin, J.Atkinson, H.Hocking, D.Dick, D.Chartes

What does everyone else think?

Very young team, excellent chance to see who is ready to step up this season. Cant wait to see the footy back! bring on Saturday.

What happened to the young MF Knights talked about?

As has been said thats a pretty inexperienced squad.

Reminds me of the squads we put out in the last month of last year (v freo, v carlton and v richmond) and we werent impressive at all.

Completely different scenario now being pre season but I think we may get tonked.

Should be a good match, Brisbane's line-up's probably as weak/strong as ours.
I'm looking forward to seeing how our defence goes in particular.

7 players are making their senior debut in this match!

Brisbane's side is pretty weak aswell so we shouldnt get thrashed.

does anyone know why hislop wasnt names? is he injured?

be interesting to see how johns goes without llyod and lucas, hopefully they keep him upforward if his playing well. looked good on the weekend!

Great oppurtunity for Gumbi and Courtney Johns especially, to show their worth as the key forwards.
