..
I had to laugh during TFS. Hutchy delivered a trademark anti-Carlton fabrication, over-flowing with “feelings” and “suspicions” from a bitter ex-employee, but with zero percent fact. The plan was to reel the viewers in by promoting a Judd interview, and then slot this fabrication in just before to maximise the impact. Lyon has a long standing bitterness toward the Carlton Footy Club. Last year he use his TV and print media access to run a public “Fev will be traded at the end of the year” propaganda campaign, despite repeated denials from the Blues and Fev himself, aimed at destabilising the club, and improving the chance of Dees getting Judd. It failed, and the bitterness has just escalated. The sad irony is that the Dees future is about to be put under the AFL spotlight after recording a loss in 2007, sub 20k attendences, shocking facilities, and ongoing player issues. Interesting how these issues don’t get brought up. Very interesting in fact. Lol. :)

The footy show is a farce...

when you have a hosts affiliated with Melbourne, North Melbourne... you have an X-host/boss with a strong influence being affiliated with Collingwood.... you get what crap is becoming the footy show.

Would like to see the club refuse TFS access to our players from now on. Don't really know what the Judd interview achieved either. He's not exactly the worlds best media performer. **** the lot of them.

I would love to see the club ban any player/official from our club from ever even speaking to Hutchy and in fact ban him from all our press conferences.. this guy has no credibility.

Funny how the Collingwood blatant tanking never gets brought up on the footy show. lol. The footy media is filled with "journo's" pushing out spin, to benefit their own Clubs commercial agenda and other best interests. Fact doesn't come into the equation. Perhaps the spotlight should be turned onto these "conflicts of interest" and kickbacks. There is a big story to be told. :)

You're not wrong Parrot. It would seem that TFS and it's associated channel 9 muppets are all running their own agenda. I was curious as to why they would run the Libba crap right before they get Judd on. Didn't sit well with me. Next time we wont give them Judd to talk to, we'll give them Cain Ackland, and then we'll see how clever they think they are.

Thing is though - Collingwood tank finals:)

Hey - how was that lame footage supposed to 'prove' tanking. I forget now, might have been Waite getting a bad bounce ---- I say replay any game and you can find at least 5 incidents of that.

Then ---- Lyon going on about Jamison.......Does this mean that if we play him in round 1 we are tanking???

Footy show: joke and disgrace. I say set the legals on them.

i agree hutchy is a tool and loves the sausage...

Spot on guys, very suss how they advertise Judd all week and then draw opinions from 'feelings'.

As I said in another post, I could not beleive they did not hit up CRAWFORD about Hawthorn in '04-'05 ? Craw was very quiet!!! As a former Captain of a club in line for Priority Picks, he could have put some light on what the 'feelings ' are around a club who are blooding young players etc

HUTCHY & the rest of the panels = no balls and own agendas :thumbsdown:

The Premiership cup Billy brought was Collingwood
Eddie may not be on the screen but he writes the script and pulls the strings. Lyon is just a puppet and Hutchy a clown!

Don't really know what the Judd interview achieved either. He's not exactly the worlds best media performer. **** the lot of them.

Judd would have to be the best media performer out of any current AFL player by some length, generally -he's composed, articulate, insightful, is quite the intellectual, has an almost philosophical view on football, has great communication and to top it all off has a very witty (somewhat dry) sense of humour.

He did seem quite uneasy last night which seemed totally out of character for him.

No doubt he found out about the Libba interview 'bombshell' when the rest of the TV audience did, only a few minutes before he was going live on air as the captain of that club -a ratings dream come true and a CFC potential PR nightmare. There was no way in hell there wouldn't at least be some questions about the issue, even though he was there to promote another business entirely.

There would not have been time for the communications/media/admin people at the club to firm up a position on each specific part of the allegation and coach Juddy through them before he had to face a live television audience.

This situation obviously shook the best of them and I'm not in the least bit surprised at Juddy's uneasiness and lack of his trademark composure on camera, imagine how much worse it would have been if it really was, as you say 'not exactly the world's best media performer' who was coming on under those circumstances.

For sure. Ever hear them bring up some crap at Melbourne on the show? Collingwood? Jesus, Crawf wasn't even allowed to make a joke about North and QLD because Brayshaw cracked it.

This is the problem that I have... you have the footy show which is very North/Melbourne/Collingwood centric.. then you go onto Footy Classified which is very North/Melbourne/Richmond centric so from channel Nine's two footy shows they only have representatives in control of these show that are a sample of 4 of the 16 clubs in the competition each pushing/protecting their own agenda's.

Swann/Pratt need to invest in a show on foxtel or FTA that has some Carlton hosts so that we can subliminally push our own agendas and slander the the above mentioned four clubs that have controlled our tv's.

There's no doubt they wanted to make Judd uncomfortable. They basically pointed the bone at our club 10 minutes prior (with his name being mentioned in the process) and then he walked right into a shitstorm. He handled it beautifully.

You're spot on with that. TFS, now i agree gives every club a run with marketing etc, but how much sposnsorship was about Collingwood for years and years. They all were plugging their own products. The public got sick of it all, ratings dipped and they changed their ways, a little. One of the problems is that the same journo's do radio, print and tv all saying the same crap on each one. They can really do a number on another club if they choose too. Good call jj1978, :thumbsu:

Yes Judd was uneasy but when he said deep from his heart that he thought tanking is not an issue and that knowing Ratts and the players he can't question their integrity and how he handled himself in an awkward time shows why he's been made captain.

This guy will be holding our 17th premiership cup!!! GO BLUES

Explain how tanking had anything to do with getting Chris Judd as Libba said?
I thought it was about Kreuzer/Cothcin
Has anyone got any info on Thornton and his surgery? Was Thornton perplexed as to the surgery like Libba said? No player would be forced to have unnecessary surgey surely!

That's what shits me! Gary Lyon and opposition supporters saying that we got Chris Judd from tanking...we traded pick #3, #20 and Josh Kennedy for Judd, now tell me which of these were priority picks or results of tanking?
