i have Armitage in my original squad. my side is looking good so far. 20 trades remaining and had Armitage debut last week.

Ahhh well you got me to stop lurking and start posting.

I currently lead the International table for the second week and sit proudly in 123rd overall (was 17th until the disaster that was round 5). Last year using Tippaz' guide and advice i finished in the top 2,500 in my first DT season (and lost the grand final to him just for good measure).

Without Tippaz pre-season guide and general advice thruout the season i would not even be in the top 100,000 never mind top 100.

I havent watched a full game of Aussie Rules in my life. I suggest you take that pillow out of your nouth, stop sledging the guy and start paying attention to what he says. ;)

I dont watch Rugby or American Football, hence why I dont do their competitions. His guide has helped someone who doesnt watch football...geez Im surprissed :rolleyes:

Like I said, it had nothing that anyone serious about DT didnt already know. Heck it didnt have anything anyone reading BF didnt know. Regardless, my point was not that his guide was crap, my point was that he needs to stop thinking that just because guys like you worship him, doesnt mean he has to fill the board will pointless threads.

Tippaz's guide wasn't aimed at serious DT players. It was a guide to simply help people pick their squad. It has certainly helped a bunch of poms, scots and irish to achieve the 20th best superleague to date. Do you feel threatened now that this guide has helped rookies score better than you?

I agree with ppg05. Tippaz is useless. I took a lot of his advice at face value as I've never played DT before and now I'm only 3,015th.

If Tippaz had been worth his salt then I'd at least be in the top 1000.

So tell me sunshine, if a player is priced at 130k and has the potential to average in the 70s isn't worth a thread for discussion, who is? How is this a "pointless thread". If you think you know everything about Armitage and don't think you will gain anything from this thread then why don't you ____ off and leave be those that may gain some insight from it.

You may be above the standard of advice that Tippaz posts, or at least i'm sure you think you are, but why try and put someone down who offers a great deal info to this forum? One day you'll remove your head from your arse and you'll realise that everything isn't about you.

In defence of ppg05 I can see truth in what he is saying, to be quite honest a few of Tippaz' comments have raised my eyebrows since his pre-season guide.

Having said that however I think that the vast majority of BigFooty readers are indebted to Tippaz (myself included) for putting together such a comprehensive guide, and so if ever anyone deserves to post "pointless" threads it's him. Ppg05 even if you're right it's pretty rich coming on here and bagging arguably the most widely useful (and generous) poster on Bigfooty.

And that being said I actually found this thread useful, but moreso for the fact that picking Armitage is very much a marginal decision (this week).
