Bay 142 - Season 2009

I sent off my membership renewal the other day. Good old being a student now, saved myself $60 from the previous year! Gun.

Anyway I think we had the most fun overall in 2007. Although I was absent from a few games so ST etc is probably the most qualified person to give a report but I think this year we stay down the same end BUT stand up at the back of the bay.

This has a lot of advantages.

1. We can still make our voice heard throughout the CSG.

2. Voice projects more.

3. More people can get involved. That is what this is all about and if we are situated in a standing area people from other parts of the ground can get involved. So more room for growth.

4. Standing up at the footy is for men.

Now this thread is not for CSG bashing or anything of the sort but just a bit of a call to arms, and a heads up on how we see it going this year. Let's bring back the fun and bring back the rowdiness. I will be at every single game this year so personally am looking forward to successful season on and off the pitch.

Bay 142 is directly behind the goals at the Southern end. Where do you usually sit man?

You can stand with us and all you need is just a gen admission ticket, its good fun dude.

That sounds like a good idea. That way the whole bay from front to back can be heard. Will also allow both groups to chant as they please without over lapping each other. That was a bit of a problem last year when one group couldnt hear what the other was chanting

Much better idea. Is extremely hard to increase numbers of the group when seated. Being at the back is much more inviting for randoms to join in.

Also while standing you can fit more people into the space and get bigger numbers etc.

Hopefully this season i can remember to head over to the crew for a chat and see how you guys role.

But allegelly a select few wants to bash me for acting like suck a dick on the net (who would have thunk that could happen), so why would i put myself into that sort of danger.

But i am sure we can resolve any previous differences quickly.

I was serious, this year i am going to try and make my way over to the bay 142'ites and see how its done. I love the way they are slowly going about trying to change the culture of the crows crowds.

it's been 3 year now and this year i will try my darndest to make it over for atlease a quater. Unless i am not welcome, then i won't bother.

Mate once you get a taste of it you will be back for good. The reason we go to the games is for atmosphere, and the the best will be where we are

It was, but the general consensus seems to be that we will be up the back this year...

Shouldn't be any issues as you can probably get people 2 deep and its fairly long. Being squished in is all part of it anyway.

We used to get 50+ at the back of bay 114 no problems anyway.

Either way, even if we cant fit everyone down there, itll be because we've got other randoms near us, and thats even better, because hopefully it translates into more total people getting involved.
