G'day boys,

On the 50/50 possibility that Robbie Gray isn't set for Sunday's game what are people's thoughts?...Keep him and hope he'll be good to go for the rest of the year or downgrade and free up some cash and upgrade somewhere else?

Looking at this option atm.

Gray and Franklin out...Didak and Wright/Mayne in!

Gray and Franklin are risks that need to perform for me to keep, i don't want to sideways trade them...

Didak is always a gun in a better quality Pies engine room this year, with either and upgrade from Wright or Mayne later on??

Thoughts??

Im tempted to hold him for now. He has had a good pre season. and i cant see anyone else below him scoring as well. Maybe Ziebel but thats about it. I do agree tho anyone who selects gray selects him as a keeper. Really do not wanna have to sideways trade him. Mainly because we wont have enough trades to do it unless you had an injury free year and we all know how likley that is...
 
Im avoiding Gray, i want to keep my forward line as stable as possible, and he has had little niggle injuries like this before. Chance of missing games is too high for me.

i still can't settle on my 2nd midfielder. Did have Boyd but im not sure, so i guess its basically Boyd v (465k) midfielder ? Any suggestions for another under 465k ?

with regards to the mid fielder your only option is dal. Id probably rather go a bit cheaper and get mitchell or somone like that tbh

No you don't... everyone on this forum is WAY too dependent on Round 1! Look at Beams and Nahas from last year! Nahas would have been a brilliant pick up even though he didn't play Round 1 and Beams was still extremely solid too. I'm sticking with Rocky as I think he'll get games and it shouldn't take him too long to break into Brisbane's side.

Im the same, after being burnt last year with half injured players i wont a stable as possible DT. So he is offloaded....

what you gonna do with him footy cool? dig up some cash and trade him up or downgrade him to a ziebel type. Also is he your 3rd, 4th or 5th forward atm?

Id go Jbrown + Ablett/Swan.

Flip between Ablett/Swan, can't really go wrong. Boyd is an excellent pick but Chapman is too risky in my books. For that price, ud want a player who plays 22 games, which i dont think Chapman can.

Id go with Shuey, HUGE raps from the WCE board and by the looks of the NAB cup is a ball magnet. Scored like 49 in a half vs Essendon round 1.

Job security might be an issue, however by the sounds of the WCE supporters this shouldn't be a worry as every1 thinks he's a gun.

Jetta's job security might be a bit better because he provides Sydney with Spark and XFactor which other Sydney players are lacking. Mature age, however it looks like he isn't much of a ball eccumalator. Seems more of a SC player however should average between 50-70.

Id go Shuey, cheaper and shuld be a good cash cow. If not u can get both, however im assuming u already have Bastinac?

Ill will be downgrading him to Ziebell. And Gray was my 5th forward, now Ziebell is :thumbsu:

I have gray as my 4th forward but think i will do the same and downgrade him to ziebel. Rekon ziebel has a great upside as well and love the fact he is playing in the mid field. i would try dig up some cash and upgrade gray but am really happy with the rest of my team and dont wanna change anything so i think ziebels gettin the call up:)

I cant afford Sheuy/Jetta - as im 1500k short :)

So ye - for a bench player wouldnt you want job security...ie jetta over shuey even though shuey might score bit more???

is jetta necissarily that much safer than shuey. If you want job security youd be best to dig up 50 k from somewhere and get scully or tengrove who will play all year bar injury. I stand corrected but i dont see shuey, jetta or bastanics job security as good as that are they?

I have danger and mayne and rest of forwards are keepers. Hard to split id just go danger because Im sure freo will have some bad games where it will be hard for maybe and balla to score well.

Pretty hard one to choose...
Shaw has more upside than Harbrow but more risk. Shaw is more likely to be tagged and we have seen the effect on his game when he is tagged.
IMO Pendlebury and Bartel will average almost the same this year. Do you want the extra risk with Shaw for the chance of more points? You need to decide that.

My big dilemma:

pods (1st emg, job security) / gumbleton (doesnt have a body) / peterson (job security)/ robbie tarrant ( unknown) / duncan ( job security) / hitchcock (wade thompson nightmares) / rockliff (1st emg, job security)

Who would you pick, in what order, and why??

i think jimmy will average 110+ and harbrow around 80 so thats 190 odd for that combo.

pendlebury i see averaging 105 and shaw about 85 so again thats 190.

i would go jimmy and harbrow though. shaw can have those games where he gets tagged and gets 30 points where as harbrow runs free with the attention on gilbee. and bartel is just a super captain option and gets 100+ near every week

And ive just looked at the teams, he is named in the centre :thumbsu: Lock and Load
