Unconfirmed reports that Van Nistelrooy has hurt his knee

The Sun report that Ruud has injured his knee, may not play
on Saturday, and could even be out for longer. The paper
believes that ‘fluid has built up around the area where he
had an operation to repair a ruptured cruciate ligament.’

Don't really see this is a big problem.

With such little left to play for this season, I see no problem with risking Ruud on Saturday then just giving him the rest of the season off.

Such little left to play for?

Wearn't you the one screaming that United didn't take the FA Cup seriously enough?

I think he's saying that Saturday's game is about it for the season, because if you beat Arsenal then you'd play a Div 1 team and probably wouldn't need RVN to beat them.

Such little faith in the Mackems is dissapointing GeordieRoo;) :D

Division One team or not, I'd rather have in the side RVN on one leg than Forlan on two legs.

GeordieRoo got it.

I'll see no problem with risking Ruud for Saturday, but beyond that he may as well be keeping fit for next season.

He'll be playing:

(This is interesting...how long as Saha been there?)

Saha Blasts Van Nistlerooy

Saha blasts Van Nistelrooy

Louis Saha has hit Manchester United's preparations for the FA Cup semi-final by criticising Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Saha says Arsenal's Thierry Henry - who will go up against United in Saturday's Cup tie - is a more complete player.

"Ruud lacks big-match experience - Thierry has played in major finals and he knows how to approach these games."

Saha, who will play with Henry for France against Van Nistelrooy's Holland on Wednesday, added: "Ruud doesn't take much part in collective play."

There was better news for Van Nistelrooy as he was passed fit for Saturday's tie, after a niggling knee injury.

The problem emerged after the striker joined up with the Dutch camp for Wednesday's friendly, but a Dutch FA spokesman said he could even still play in that game.

Frank Huizinga said: "Ruud could still play. The team has not been announced yet and he might be in it."

However, the United star will be seething at the comments made by his club partner.

As well as saying that Van Nistelrooy "needs to gain experience at the highest level" Saha claimed: "Ruud never scores from outside the 18-yard area and never takes free-kicks.

"It is very rare to see him trying his luck from distance."

The Frenchman, who joined United from Fulham in January, added: "Ruud doesn't take much of a part in the team's collective play. His game is all about finishing."

I'll give some credence to Saha' comments if he gets us 20 goals a season consistently, otherwise the stupid one-season wonder should shut the hell up.

Who cares if Man U or Arsenal win cause neither team has a group of fans willing to go toe-toe with the Millwall boys in Cardiff.

Anybody willing to be that we'll see another "Adelaide United"esque refereeing performance to keep the Millwall boys out of Cardiff.

Anyway, judging by what happened when Cardiff City beat Leeds a couple of years ago I don't think the locals would be too worried.

Or have Millwall been out of the top flight so long I've forgotten what they're really like?

A couple of years ago when Millwall lost to Birmingham City in the playoffs the fans rioted in the streets of South London causing approx 2 million quid damage. Not the most pleasant sight for an Aussie used to much tamer crowds but I enjoyed it never the less.

In short. No, haven't changed a bit regardless of what the club says.

Well I trust you'll show the Mackems the sppropriate amount of "respect" come Sunday.

Speaking of which...how the f*ck are they in an FA Cup Semi-Final.

They collected the lowest points total in premiership history last season.

See - you get rid of Kevin Phillips and look what happens.

They had a dream draw. One premiership club all the way through and that was Birmingham, who obviously aren't that bad so well done on getting past them.

But still. They could have done it a bit tougher. Can't see them getting past Millwall anyway.

That would be the same Kevin Phillips who has scored in 6 of the last 8 premiership games I presume? ;)

Unlike Pompey fans who trash their hometown when they win.
