Where's the Talbot?
I reckon I have frequented every pub in greater Hobart but have never heard of this one.

Main Rd Newtown mate. Short ride out of the city and bloody good value pub. Its a true old fashioned sports bar with about 15 plasmas, 4 biggest committed to AFL and NRL, the punt, good no frills pub meals and top beer on tap. One of Hobarts oldest.

I'm over to Hobart this weekend, post Friday night at Etihad. I'll have to find the Talbot and have a pot! Well done to all tigers in my old town!

Not sure if there will be too many about as we have nothing planned but grab a membership form at the bar and join up for $5. That way we can notify you in case theres a next time plus anything we organise off season.

Had a great night on Saturday for the game against the Lions. Was there with a mate of mine who goes for the Tigers too and my girlfriend who goes for the Blues. My mate's dad passed away during the week though and it was good to get him out. He was glad we got up as his old man went for the Tiggies too and was happy Richmond won for him the week before as well as this week. He said it was the gods that won it for him. I'm not a religious person or anything but it was just a special moment singing Yellow and Black in the pub with everyone.

Anyway, can't wait to get back there for the Freo game. Will be even greater if we can get McGuane to be there (if he's not playing of course).

Cheers to those that made us feel welcome especially Peter, Jason and Ben I think.
