Season 14 was a tough realisation for The Gumbies, good recruitment had strengthened the side but the season was still a little rocky. To turn this around the Club went on an ambitious membership drive the likes of which were unseen since the last time a club did the same thing (so at least a week).
This culminated in the little known Rebirth campaign, it was inward focussed but outward thinking and changed the mind set of this once proud club and this is what followed.
The jumper change
The new jumpers made a statement and our old sponsor DAS(c) was only too happy to re-sign with the team on an undisclosed amount that was giant baby step ahead of the previous deal. Play-Doh approached the club with another deal to help mould a new beginning.

The Logo
The logo represents the ruthless nature of the baby Gumbies and emphasized the teams much loved mascot over the Geelong name while still playing homage to the team roots.
Deddy 's audition as the new team mascot before he realised it was ruthlessness and not Baby Ruth that was coming to the club.
What good is a rebirth with out a slogan, so in the pre-season of Season 14 The Gumbies launched the slogan. ..
which were handed out to our loyal fan base in the form of membership stickers. ..

news of stickers had The Half Back wanting to come aong for the ride.

Season 15 is not a time to sit back and smell the flowers of the nearest faux cheer leader and the Gumbies didn't sit idle for long. The club went of a recruitment spree, the likes of which only a half a dozen or so other current SFA teams could have managed. Marklar_33 , 2121 and wotdoiput all returned to the fold plus someone apparently spotted Ninty , krisholio14 and winty at the local pub the other day.
So without further waffle. .. here is The Gumbies new* Slogan for Season 15. ..
