I also feel its a lot easier to spawn train in BLOPS 2 than it has been in any other game. I see it more, especially on Demo

especially Nuketown

Was in a Demo game last night and a guy went 101-1 against my team by running Lightning strike/ Hellfire and Lodestar
To be fair, all you need to spawn trap on Nuketown is a team if 6 players who aren't scrubs. And with the days of full parties, it isn't too hard to get that up and running.

It's so bullshit that I wouldn't go so far as to even call it a tactic, though.

Quite of the year from Dibikins:

"when did Freakie get good?"

watch the whole thing and actually educate yourself on the lag comp in this game in particular, and how different it is to mw3, laggers do NOT get the advantage in this game, the host does NOT get a disadvantage in this game, transcript from the video below

Part of this lag comp is great, unlike MW3, laggy players do not obtain an advantage, nor does the host have a disadvantage, all players have a relatively equal experience, but that is where its positive qualities end, while this has been a success in terms of equality among the players, that equality is of a terrible experience comparable to having a very poor host, the delay for all player actions has everyone playing with three bars before even considering ping

People get so mad when you tell them the problem might be their own connection, this game is not COD4, there is infinitely more things happening at once in bo2 than there was in cod 4, more equipment, more scorestreaks, faster firing guns, all these mean that your router/modem is being used to process infinitely more packets in this game then it would in an older COD game, while your router might be great at the lower work load of a previous COD game, it just might not be good enough for the more connection instense online games, he explains and proves clearly that the lag comp, while still being pretty stupid, has most players at a relatively equal experience than any game since mw2, anything else is an extenuating circumstances caused by your own connection or the equipment used to run it, everyone is at a disadvantage when someone turns a corner on them quickly(except the host), and everyone is at an advantage when they turn the corner and catch someone quickly, you can use this information to your advantage in game by adjusting your playstyle, im assuming this is where the anger towards treyarch building a game for rushers comes from when the map layout could not have done anything more to promote a passive/tactical playstyle

tl;dr if theres nothing wrong with your setup, or your ISP(OPTUS :/), youve got no one to blame but yourself if you cant be successful playing this game, everyone is experiencing the same bullshit as you, and if they say theyre not, theyre just not good enough to notice it, the games not perfect, and i never expected it to be, but at the very least its a lot more fair for everybody than the mess that was MW3 (sorry morell :p)

btw this is the same guy that did the mw3 lag comp vid that went viral, you can probably tell from his voice if you ever saw it

Bolded is the problem with COD as a whole. Simplify the game and they can cut the bullshit lag compensation out of the game. But no, let's dump more and more and more and more and clutter up the net code and game engine as much as possible so we have to add artificial aspects to the game in order to make it even.

I shouldn't have to do a damn thing to make this game work, they're the one's that broke it.

well i just watched that whole video and miraculously managed to not fall asleep from the guys droning voice.

only about half of it is about the lag comp - and he says it is shit too

then he goes to town on treyarch and the game and how shit some of their decisions are - just like people everywhere are.

in summary - lag comp bad, treyarch bad, black ops2 bad

Agree with the first part, disagree with the 2nd, as connections get stronger worldwide and technology continues to advance at such a rapid rate, eventually you will need to upgrade your connection/equipment to be able to keep up either way, if the game is running bad because you equipment isnt good enough to run it, thats not treyarchs fault, your expecting a brand new game to run just as smoothly on 7+yr old equipment as it did on a game that was released 7 years ago, i dont blame treyarch for that

I didn't mean better net, I was responding to this point: you can use this information to your advantage in game by adjusting your playstyle.

I shouldn't have to adjust my playstyle for something they ('they' being a collective of the COD devs/publishers, **** all of them, not just Treyarch) broke. This was my biggest issue with MW2 (if you wanted to play and not be frustrated by bullshit, you had to significantly alter your style).

My net/set up is significantly better than it was back in the COD4 days (which for the record, I had lag then anyway - although it was genuine lag because of the audience around at the time meaning I didn't have great hosts to connect to).

that video is ****ing GOLDEN and basically proves many things that i've been saying for years about the clutter/chaos causing problems re: lag (but going further saying how it's a catalyst to ****ing up the series in general) but also about the conflicting nature of blops2's game design to its maps etc...

it also helps to explain why initially, after coming from very good net on mw3 and just constantly feeling cheated to moving to poorer net for blops 2 and initially saying it felt "fairer" (which it turns out it actually is) but knowing full well that cod would never be TRULY fair again.
in blops2, it seemed i could win at least half the time in situations i was simply incapable of getting a kill on in mw3 while still feeling i was cheated in that same circumstance on other times (this is all completely excluding times i know i should die).....
the more i played, the more i noticed it to the point i didn't want to jump on to something that felt compromised but it ALWAYS felt better than mw3 to me.

what's proved in the video also makes sense with different people on this forum who weren't complaining about lag comp in mw3 telling us it was all in our heads and to learn to aim ( ) etc.. how they were all of a sudden on here complaining about how appalling lag comp is on blops2 and how it's so much worse than mw3's lag comp when in reality it's only a taste of what mw3 dished up to those who suffered issues on that title.
i know i would've loved mw3 too if i was getting such an incredible advantage!

also watching that clip made me want to play some cod4 and even mw2 again! pity the games are hacked pretty badly now.
i'd def take the legitimacy of mw2's gun play to anything that's come since (even if the game itself is unbelievably flawed).

it's just night and day the experience you can have....i mean sitting back camping on all titles you won't cop the brunt of lag comp but in such a full on fight for kills in parties with most of the guys on here it's impossible for it to not be a monster factor having to rush so hard.
cod4 or mw2 you lose a gunfight and it's back to business without a whimper.
in games released since it's hard not to get mad....

respawn....PLEASE deliver something good in the same mould as earlier cods!

So I'm playing PS3 at my Brothers place. Game seems better than its MW counterparts right now.

Anyone want to add me? Cheesus_Crust_89
lol great user name:thumbsu:

Good video. Sums up CoD to a tee. Random bullshit creating an environment of frustration and rage. With bullshit streaks and equipment that has no counter (OP).

OMG WTF is this shit? Video does not mention anything about network hardware at all.

Take the same modem + router and go play BF3 with 24 players, vehicles, destruction and 6km2 maps. Flawless.

Take the same modem + router and play BF3 64 player on PC. Flawless

Take the same modem + router and play Planetside 2 on PC with 2000+ playercounts and 600km2 maps. Flawless.

Nope, CoD on a 7 year old engine on a 7 year old console requires so much bandwidth for it's quadjillion data packets that modems and routers are the bottleneck.

GTFO Swade.

It's not as hacked as you think man, I played MW2 a couple of days ago and I played for a couple of hours with no hacking at all or anything. Just a shame Favela is gone :(
