Not many indicating they are picking Heath Shaw this year, he could be a good POD

think he was averaginga round 55 last year and 60 year before that, believe could bump that up to maybe 70 but dont think he will be in my side, kinda just got him there at the moment most likely be replace with someone else after the nab cup but i reckon Cunnington could be a gun this year and be a good pick

Simpkin at 300K is about 200K too much - either turn him into a rookie or try and turn him into a yarran or the like
Cunnington is certainly on most peoples watch list i reckon

I like Bennell, I'd go for one of Pearce and Hartlett not both, ditto Maloney and Ball - otherwise a pretty good team. I'd hang onto Staker if he is a chance to resume in the first three rounds. I'd try to find cheaper rookies as well ie Viney for Wines.

Solid - risks are: Sandi (injury) thompson( not sure if he has another gear to go ultra elite such as dangerfield, needs to get it 30 times to score 110) Cloke (does look mighty fit at present) Stevie J - what will his role be? can he find an element of consistency to reach the 100 average club..

Solid team mate, I like your format. Similar to mine, however I have 4 premiums in the midfield and 4 rookies. Luke Ball is still a risk IMO, but his price will no doubt increase

Agreed with you and I'd understand about Ball being a huge risk. But it could pay off. Swapped Staker for Mayes after I heard the bad news that he got injured and should I start Dangerfield and Cotchin as well as Swan and Ablett together or downgrade one of them to someone like Pendles, Murphy etc? Trying to finish in the top 100 this year.

Henderson is a waste of cash. Won't average over 70, better off going for a real premium or a rookie.

Monfries won't be a full time mid, he isn't fast enough and doesn't have enough awareness. He may increase his average, but he won't go over 90, so neither a keeper nor a good cash cow.

Downgrade Monfries and use the spare cash on upgrading Henderson/

Looks good so far. Not sold on Atley and Ball being starters though. At their starting prices I would like them to become keepers and doubt either will average enough to do that. Although with extra trades this year perhaps you have the luxury to use them as bench cover towards the end of the season if they dont reach premium status.

Love the Hanley, Hawkins selections. I have both at the moment as well. Unique picks and both should improve again this year. Hawkins in particular looks like he will tear games apart more regularly and post some monster scores. Hanley hopefully gets more time in the midfield this year and pushes 95-100 avg.
