If I were Mitch, I'd go for LeBrone and Melo

Seriously, if they didn't opt out, I'd go for Parsons, Gortat/Bogut, Kobe (if he took on a 1-year) and some restricted FA's (Wall, Monroe, Favors etc.)

Parsons won't either. He was a big factor in acquiring Dwight.

Gortat I can see leaving, but he's merely a role player at best. The good days of the Polish Hammer are gone.

If we signed Bogut, Kobe and some restricted FA's - say, Evan Turner and Ed Davis - and Nash didn't retire, we'd have:

PG Nash
SG Kobe
SF Turner
PF Davis
C Bogut

I'd be partly happy with that.

Also, according to the Lakers salary link, we still have a 1st rounder in next year's banner draftee crop.

But really, the lakers will get 1 or 2 big names in FA next season. The Lakers are that sort of team that will always get by because of their history and how highly regarded they are within the NBA. I could see LeBron wanting to team with Kobe for a year or 2.
