OK the Club and the likes of Hird, have a responsibility to tell their stories in full. We need to hear and have a right to it.

Go Bombers.

Hope we smash those feral farks on Saturday. After that, a smart trade or two (for players who want to go, don't chuck these guys out) to make the best of our draft situation.

Then bring on 2014. Look out AFL, our boys are gonna be pissed (think 2000)

Whatever it takes

EFC til I DIE

After listening to both press conferences and wanting to beat down on AD multiples times I have come to the following conclusion.

- The players were what changed the attitude of EFC. Paul Little said as much in the press conference, the players made it clear they want this finished and not to linger. This left EFC and Little in a position whereby court action would not be the best option.
- Once this was established, it meant EFC had to bargain with the AFL, it also meant if Hird wanted to definitely coach again he could not let it linger either.
- From what I can gather, we gained out of negotiation that EFC would not sack Hird, that we kept a first round draft pick in 2014, that we would not be stripped of points this year, Corcoran's suspension to be reduced and several charges dropped. The new charge sheet would be released and the VFL team would not receive any sanctions.

When you consider the club must put the players first, especially after everything they have gone through and that the players wanted it finished, it left the club with one hand tied behind their back. Knowing this it could have been worse.

Do I think it's complete and utter bullshit? Yes. I do however understand what has changed the clubs attitude and caused them to bend over.

We will rise again, Hird will coach again, players are free to play and we must remain solid and united behind the club. It's what has made us great and it's what will make us great again.

Hypothetically speaking, what happens if next season we get top 4 or better still make the GF, or lets get even more crazy optimistic and WIN the bloody thing, why would we want to change coaches back to jimmy?

Why change a winning formula, wouldnt the new coach feel hard done by?

i would love hirdy to come back so this isn't really what im thinking, i am just asking the question, what does everyone else think?
After Hirdy states that he gave his word not to discuss the ASADA investigation, and we now give our word to give him his job back. What standards do you work too?

One thing i am pissed about is how we have claimed andy 'fatman' to have called us b4 we come forward? then in his presser he's just said bombers come forward on their own? is he really THAT powerful that we can't keep persuing this? or did we just lie about it to see what happens?

Feel quite relieved after all this tbh. It's over.

I do believe little is the best man to be leading us for no, so he has my vote for now. We have stood by James and not thrown him under the bus.

We cop the fine which is going to hurt very badly. But it's people like us who can help alleviate that pain. I'm already debating whether to walk into the club at some stage and see if can donate some money to help.

Draft picks is now as ba as it could have been. We managed to get the pick for next year. And we can always trade back in of player want to leave. Plus we have an ok strike rate with late round picks.

I :hearts: Kong, please return :(
Sorry mate, I'm done.

Done with footy for the year. I'll be damned if I'm going to care about a finals series that's been compromised by its administration.

I'm done with the AFL and supporting it in any way.

I'm filthy with this club, and the false hope that they gave us all year, and the promise to tell their side of the story, only to accept an absolute pounding that punishes its two innocent parties (the players and supporters) more than anyone, and still not give us their story that would enlighten us all.. I'm not done with the club, because I hope that they'll show us some respect and actually explain things to us in the coming days.

But I'm so disenchanted right now.

Vlad crediting the AFL integrity unit for uncovering the supplement program.
Newsflash dick, the ACC were originally investigating the activities of the bikies, but instead stumbled across the EFC invoice/money transaction for the supplements... Then the AFL became involved.

Would surely come back as an assistant, not straight back as senior coach. Might then take the mantle in 2015.

Reserving judgement until we hear our side of the story. If the AGM was tomorrow, I'd be voting against Little, but I want to hear our story.

Now it's about supporting the players. #standasone

Best post on the whole saga. Well said

You should send that to the EFC media department i love it.

I know that we all have a right to be angry, especially at the club for what happened in 2011-2012, but some of you need to pull your ******* heads in. All this shit like "gonna vote Little out", "we took it up the ass" etc. is stupid. He did all he could under the circumstances, for all we know the AFL may have proposed something like:

- No points for 2013-2014. You finish last on the ladder and are forever labelled as wooden spooners for these years.
- Hird banned for life.
- $5 million fine
- No picks for three years.

Essentially, we may have been hit with a HTB type punishment. We don't know what happened that forced Little to backtrack. It may have been the AFL and their dirty tricks, they may have threatened to persecute on Thymosin-beta 4 if we didn't back down. We may never know what was the reason we backed down, and one thing for sure is that Little wouldn't come out and say "we copped it up the arse because the AFL threatened with this and that, and they are corrupted ******s". Imagine Little came out and said "we view these punishments as grossly unfair bla bla bla", imagine the media shitstorm. He would just be giving Caro and Fatprick more ammunition to slag us off if he said that. It's basic PR management.

The punishments suck. What happened at the club was pathetic, and we are now paying the price. As I said before, it could be WAY worse. We could have had players being canned for two years. We may have been facing certain extinction. The worst thing we could do is turn on the club and become another Richmond, and put ourselves in a downward spiriling shithole. It's fine to question the club, but calm down.

We are Essendon. A $2 million will not destroy us like it would to Bulldogs, North or the Demons. History will go down and show us as finishing 9th and not 18th and on 0 points. And to top it off, Hirdy will be back next year. He will definitely be back to lead us into September and hold up #17. It sucks, but come round 1, 2014, all of us will be eager and excited to watch our players come out and play without an ASADA/AFL cloud hanging over our heads

said it all brother:thumbsu:

Not too sure we'll be hearing our side of the story. Feel like that's part of this grand deal we received
