Was always a charming place Alberton. BO reeking out of the terraces, saliva going everywhere, but for all that it could not compare to the early days at Victoria Park. That was a legitimate Noah's Ark. Two of every species, still not too sure how many survived the plague.

I wouldn't attend that if you paid me, however, each to their own. The same way your club has a bunch of social rejects chanting non-rhyming things about Angus Monfries and witty one liners like 'Geelong Reject', if that's what does it for them then so be it. Personally I think footy would be better off without cheersquads. They have well and truly had their day. I think the scoreboard prompts of 'Go Crows' and 'Pow Er' are equally effective and far more hygienic.

Well no, it's not quite the same way. The videos you've posted are confined entirely to a small group of bogans. The chant night was a club sanctioned event. It was something that the people who are paid exorbitant amounts of money to run your club thought was a good idea.

Every club has some cringeworthy supporters. But no club in the AFL comes anywhere near matching the Crows when it comes to a cringeworthy marketing department, and a cringeworthy media presence:

• The 19th man concept which is a complete and total ripoff of the Seattle Seahawks.
• The 'we're gonna win the flag because it was hot in '98' membership speech.
• The apricot slice brigade article.
• Our Sando spontaneously (despite having an Advertiser photographer in the car with him) picks up an old lady at the bus stop.
• Old ladies singing your club song (with a lyric sheet, because apparently they don't know your club song) to Swans players at the airport only for the Swans to smash you off of the park.
• Our Sando says that the midfield which finished 11th last year is "A-grade" and he wouldn't trade it for anybody's.
  
• Our Sando saying "If I sink this putt, we'll win the premiership" in an interview.
• The state jumper fiasco.
• The failed attempt to get your flag put up on Port Road.
• And now this abortion of a 'chant night'.

The amount of very public cringe that comes out of your club is unparalleled. And that's just in the last two years.
