Seriously Mavs how old do you want to get I'm ok with Chandler but Felton come on we better not lose Harris for this spud

Mavs have lost their nerve we have fallen short last few years on players we wanted Mavs should have held their nerve for Gorat
Gortat is going ton get overpaid.

We got a legit all star center and kept our cap space.

IMO Monta and Jose are not an ideal backcourt. The team looked much better going with Ellis and Harris.

This trade is a home run.

I was thinking that the deal in July means that they can absorb Asik's salary as they would renounce their free agents like aminu, smith to get under the salary cap??
It's to get around the Stepien rule is what I would guess. Plus I think we trade some contracts (Rivers, Ajinca) now to get under the cap to keep the MLE

We need to keep Harris and I am glad we have kept Ellis he is a star

IMO Harris will stay. He likes Dallas. 9m/3 yrs will get it done.

Having a defender at the rim is huge, that killed us all year.

Plus we still have 16-18m to spend based on however much Dirk takes.

Problem is who can we grab we won't go after Love

That leaves a Melo/Lebron which will not sign with us

I hate saying it as I love Dirk but we won't get any better until Dirk leaves and we start to rebuild and get back into the draft

Cuban loves Dirk and won't do this until he retires

Adrian Wojnarowski
Orlando has agreed to send Arron Afflalo to Denver for Evan Fournier and 56th pick in 2014 Draft, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Draft day business kicking off, kills that cavs/Magic trade that was probably BS anyway.

They've gotta have something else lined up. Ridiculously shit trade otherwise.

Orlando would have been laughing if they were offered that. Pretty sure Afflalo can opt out after this season, no way they were offered anything that good.
According to Zach Lowe and Bill Simmons that was a high possibilty. There are no good shooting guards in the league anymore, 2-3 maybe better than him at the true position.

Once I take an interest, I'm loyal to the bitter end - see Pelicans (nee Hornets) of New Orleans.

Strikes me as a fair trade for EG incidentally.
Lacking a first to trade with EG
Considering we traded our next for Asik
Looking at the cap we surely trade Rivers
Although on a rookie contract the thought gives me shivers

The day's first blockbuster trade has arrived..

If we end up with one of PHX's, that and EG for Fournier & Jameer.

Still strikes me as pretty unlikely. Philly or Milwaukee might be more content to take a flyer on EG using surplus cap room for an additional pick.

My bad, I thought we were doing a to and fro in the form of Dr Suess rhyming.

I doubt high lottery teams take the chance on EG. If we get the #14 pick from PHX we use it and take 30 cents on the dollar for EG.

Out of Philly and Bucks, who can they actually trade that works money wise? OJ? Thad?

Sigh, I can't believe I missed the rhyming! Almost haiku like too... Mea culpa amigo.

High lottery teams committed to a long rebuild and with lotsa cap room to absorb a big contract and a desire for moar first round picks would be prime targets for a Gordon dumping.

Leaving aside Cleveland, Orlando don't strike me as an obvious match, while Utah did their rent-our-cap-space thing with the Dubs last year.

Milwaukee might do it for a pick in the teens if we took... something back. Perhaps OJ Mayo... ugh. At that point, it's becoming too expensive to dump EG.

Philly... I reckon the Sixers would happily do it for another first rounder if we took Jason 'I used to play basketball' Richardson off their hands. So... ugh.

Knicks... little help please?
