If Connors is using it all as a threat to get a contract extension whereby Ryder will earn far more next year than he is currently supposed to, Ryder hasn't denied it because it would defeat the whole purpose of the threat. Ryder may very well wish to leave, but I personally believe this is very unlikely given he has played very well this year and hasn't seemed unhappy.
