The last player I was totally gutted on leaving EFC was Gav Wanganeen.
This scenario for Paddy is eerily similar. Partner, family etc.
I believe that Port Adelaide ended up sneaking a McDonalds franchise to Gav's wife to sweeten the deal.
Gav denied the Maccas franchise was part of the deal on Open Mike the other night. The last player I was totally gutted on leaving EFC was Gav Wanganeen.

Next installmentDid he explain that such a thing is known as Stockholm Syndrome or does he just assume now that we know he thinks that?

Gav was pretty open about things to, said he pretty much walked out without telling anyone. Doesn't sit well with him to this day.
You make the mistake of thinking Barrett has the balls to show his face around our sanctuary at the moment.Good to see ch 9s TFS sent out the work experience kid to ask the big questions

I notice the club has released a statement from Carlisle saying the rumour about him seeking another club is simply a rumour. Pressure's on Paddy to make a similar statement.
I agree. The media is what it is though. They'll speculate loudly, especially Caroline Wilson, until they get the statement they're looking for. Like it or not, the pressure will build. Hoping Paddy's immune as a result of the ASADA thing. When the media decides that a club or player is required to put a statement out is a sad day. Release no statement. It is the weekend of an elimination final, focus on that. The media should not decide when or who is required to tell them what, and club supporters should expect that.

I agree with what you're saying, but the idea that the media should decide that there is enough pressure on a club or player to release a statement, which will only be dissected by the media, is a joke. Release nothing. **** them.
In some ways im glad the club released a statement it's keeps the vultures at bay for now.
There's always vultures, they can eat us when we're dead, not decide when we die.

You're pushing this barrow hard yaco, and I struggle to see its relevance to be honest. And I am criticised for being critical of players who get married/long term girlfriends/babies at an early age - This is what happens folks.
