Which players ? I think his lack of game day match ups and making changes when the team is going bad was disgusting

How about you take Monty as an assistant down at the saints - gun coach - won top afl assistant for the year

No, I suspect the two obvious and best candidates Bomber and Williams have both relayed via their managers that because of the instability at the club they will only entertain interest with a 5 year contract. And you could not blame them - another unintended legacy of a stupid administrations premature and messy sacking of Macca

Of course the club and board due to our finances would feel that a 5 year deal is like relinquishing all reins to bomber/Williams
So they are looking around for an inspiration a miracle amongst the bridesmaids.

Unfortunately, they also know bomber and Williams pay for themselves with membership, sponsorship and attendance numbers

So this is really all about ego. They don't want to relinquish their power

Welcome to the post Macca self inflicted hangover. In a way its perfect
Peter Gordon must know these unknown coaches will impact membership and sponsorship and attendance badly after the off season we have just had.

But giving up control and power to these great coaches but ego maniacs does not sit well
