How is Payne a half forward? He's a 193cm key forward or defender. Sinclair is a mid who can go forward.

Most write-ups suggest he's more like a tall flanker (3rd tall) & not KPF or KPD....

i dont think sinclair tested. payne did though

on payne he has grown around 1-2cm each year since he was 16

has a high agility score, but other than that theres not really anything impressive about his combine testing

its muddied by mids though and strong running players

With saad being suspended with his time off would he have been able to hire a fitness/kicking coach or someone to help him out with his flaws?

Yes, has been working with a personal trainer.

Watching Sinclair's highlights, what were the knocks on him last year, and indeed this year to have him last to the RD? Is it height, cos the kids got balance, poise, pace and skills on both sides.

Sinclair I like. Overager but capable midfield with a bit of pace and is also very good by position forward of centre as someone who can go forward, take a mark and provide some scoreboard impact.

Payne is a high motor, very thin forward. Interesting player and a project who will need to develop physically. Perhaps more a 3rd tall/high half forward at the next level. A rookie position is about right for him.

I would have thought that Saad was one of the best players in the Rookie draft, so good get Saints.

To be honest, nothing really stands out. Looks like a solid player overall.

It looked like he played as a main target in most of the footage. I reckon some of those descriptions saw the 76kg weight & thought 'tall flanker'.

First thing I thought when I heard we drafted Sinclair was that he'd know Jack Billings, with both of them being Scotchies. Only read the first few posts, but that's seems like what happened. Sinclair I like, think he could be a Langdon-esque pick up, from reports he performed well in the VFL and has been pretty good for the Chargers. That said, from purely an Oakleigh perspective I didn't think he was one of the top 2 half-backs for the year.

Brendon Payne I had in my top 60 or so, definitely a draft-able prospect, just not sure where he plays at the highest level. Came from the St Pats footy factory, too.

I think he was concentrating on playing cricket at the time
