He's dropped him again! Surely the one area of cricket you have to be adequate in to get a test spot is fielding?
Ouch: didn't know that (I'm at Semaphore with my cricket hating family). Oh well: Marsh now needs to play a blinder with the bat!!!!

So M Marsh, Starc (awful selection), Johnson & Hazlewood are all carrying injuries now, are we going to have anyone able to bowl in the 2nd innings?

I don't rate Siddle but would prefer his aggression to Starc, who even after likely hearing Warne call him soft in the first session is still bowling pies.

Has Mitch Marsh really pinged his string? I know how talented the brothers are but their bodies aren't upto Test cricket.

Thats what ABC radio were saying ... he's def taken over Watto's allrounder spot, injuries and all :-(

Heaven help us if Johnson breaks down, because if this innings extends to the third new ball, it may have to be shared by Rogers and Warner!!!! Let's just hope Harris is fit for Boxing Day - today proved how important he is to our attack.

This is certainly worth a mention. South Africa has just started a home series against the West Indies. The visitors hit a purple patch early when 3 wickets fell on 57, but that's where their joy ended. At stumps, South Africa is 3 for 340, with de Villiers and Amla already having posted 283 for the 4th wicket. If they're in the same mood tonight, all sorts of records could fall.

18th best in test cricket. 155 to go to set a new record.

Heard a report this morning the Michael Clarke has had surgery on his hamstring and is aiming at being available for the World Cup. That is the problem, Cricket Australia need to say NO WAY and tell Pup to save it for the Ashes. If Clarke comes back too soon and does his hammy again that will probably be good night.

India 5/328. Hazelwood has 3 wickets.

Yep agreed ... I know that Clarke wants to play in WC ... but he needs to get fit for the Ashes...

Does Starc hold a compromising photo of Boof Lehmann? I'm probably biased becasue i've always been a big Siddle fan even though he has dropped off lately, but at least he can keep going all day and not get carted for sh!t loads. Lets not forget Siddle has taken about 200 test wickets.

On another note Hazelwood, what brilliant line and length bowler. Pigeonesque.

India lost 6/97, not as bad as that MCG test a few years ago when they were 4/329 and lost 6/37 on the second day, but still not all that good. India's bowlers, I will not call them lower order batsmen as that would be an insult to batsmen, really need to do something about this situation. Most other cricketing countries are capable of having a collapse at the end of the innings, but unlike India, most of the others have bowlers who occasionally hang around and add runs with batsmen.
Doug Bollinger, Nathan Lyon, even Glenn McGrath were the last you'd expect to score runs but at least they put a premium on their wickets. India will not win many tests overseas when they are 5 out-all out.

not a bad recovery with the ball today, we were two bowlers down yesterday with starc and marsh...... then they got injured.... happy for hazlewood, i wasnt convinced as he hasnt played much this year but looks like he may be the long term replacement for harris.
not sure why the bozos on the radio both today and yesterday were saying it was a brave decision for india to bat first, hardly, it was the only decision they could make.

408 is starting to look like a pretty reasonable score, although as I type this, Smith has just smashed Ashwin for 16 off an over (don't lose your head, Smithy!!!). Mitchell Marsh, Haddin and the bowlers to follow, so this partnership between Shaun Marsh and the skipper is absolutely crucial. Currently 3 for 182 - still 226 behind.

Starc out, Pattinson in. Cummins circling
Yep - Starc has undoubtedly been India's best player in this game so far :-). Hopefully he actually makes a contribution with the bat, because he did nothing with the ball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone care about tonight's 'hit n' giggle' contest between the Stinkers & $tar$? I'd definitely prefer the Deadbacks win the Shield (is it ever gonna happen again in our lives???).

Means as much to me as the heritage of the Crows :-)

That game was meant to be over at 10.30, now I've got to put up with 45 minutes of the thoughts of chairman Ponting. Although if I get bored I can always have a laugh at Adam Gilchrist's ears.

India's bowlers are already undoubtedly thoroughly sick of Steve Smith. In 3 innings, he's so far scored 279 runs, and he still doesn't have a series average, because nobody has taken his wicket.
