Yep, it's a nice spot. The lake is really nice to swim in, too.Sounds like a lovely, enjoyable trip SC. Based on what I see on Google maps it looks like a lovely place to visit and I wouldn't mind visiting one day.
Will you do a bit of skiing or wakeboarding?
My Australia Day will look something like this:

Doing this trip with quite a few people which includes breakfast and lunch stops along the way.
That's a bit harsh, dude! He's not a bad player and it was hardly his fault that he came out in the last couple of overs! He had zero time to work himself into the match. I'd hate to see how scathing your (and probably other's) criticism of him would have been, had we not been able to wrap up the match due to Henriques' inability to get into his rhythm quickly enough.Read my lips. **** off Henriques. Go back to NSW and never come back!

Not at all. He shouldn't be anywhere near an Australian side. He only gets in because he's a selectors love child and is from NSW.That's a bit harsh, dude! Who would you have had in his place? Not at all. He shouldn't be anywhere near an Australian side. He only gets in because he's a selectors love child and is from NSW.
Black mark on his name hopefully. Useless.
I haven't been to Kinglake before but I've been to Marysville a couple of times and it is quite bare. I did post some photos of my previous trip to Lake Mountain resort in this thread which I will find for you.TurtleMaster , what do Kinglake and Marysville look like now ? Have the trees etc grown back a bit? And houses gone up ? For after you have been there and come back, of course And Teriyakicat , I deleted my last post because I have almost decided to just be sensible and wise on here now
Mitch marsh. Or given we already had Maxwell and Faulkner as all rounders another specialised batsmen.Who would you have had in his place?
I'll put the photos in spoiler tags so they don't take up the page.

Shame it wasn't a sunny day.

Well hopefully "my boy", the South Aussie prodigy, young Travis Head gets a crack at some point. That boy is going to be a star! Watch him smash the 6ers tonight!Mitch marsh. Or given we already had Maxwell and Faulkner as all rounders another specialised batsmen.
They were both burnt out a few years ago, and know that they are really encouraging tourists now to go and bring the dollars in . Thanks Will look at the other oneI haven't been to Kinglake before but I've been to Marysville a couple of times and it is quite bare. Indeed! You have Whistler on your doorstep! What are you doing, man?I remember that drive to Lake Mountain. Really nice. I did it on a high school trip. I think that was the last time I went skiing. Pretty bad considering where I live.
Lol- that's going to be pretty tough on you, CatMarie! Are you SURE??TurtleMaster , what do Kinglake and Marysville look like now ? Have the trees etc grown back a bit? And houses gone up ? The road up to Lake Mountain is a 100km/h twisty road which means doing mad skids in my pantsI remember that drive to Lake Mountain. Really nice. I did it on a high school trip. I think that was the last time I went skiing. Pretty bad considering where I live.

And an empty icecream bucket held in front of you, talking to Ralph ?The road up to Lake Mountain is a 100km/h twisty road which means doing mad skids in my pants![]()

In case you were interested, my wife drove through the recently affected areas of the Sampson Flat bushfire earlier in the week. Here are some of the photos which she took. They were both burnt out a few years ago, and know that they are really encouraging tourists now to go and bring the dollars in . Yes you are right. I wasn't thinking of the public stuff Sorry . It was more a matter of " gee, they look great " Edited to say, and I just told Teriyakicat I was going to be more matureThe quality of the images had to be significantly reduced in order to upload them to BF, CatMarie. I don't think my wife would appreciate her photos being posted up as a display of her work in anything more public than this thread. When you consider that the original raw files were 16+ mb each, you could appreciate how much nicer the originals looked. There's plenty more, too. I just posted up my favourites.

Bloody tragic loss of forest there, SCIn case you were interested, my wife drove through the recently affected areas of the Sampson Flat bushfire earlier in the week. Here are some of the photos which she took.
Hopefully many of the affected trees will recover - the undergrowth will grow really fast. Thanks for posting those pics. It's all good CatMarie. No need to apologise.Yes you are right.
