Typical WAFC

They know that it shags the turf, yet still allow it to go ahead. If this was in October I would say go your hardest, but at the end of Feb with the season a month away...

Bring on proper management at the new stadium. And the WAFC wonder why they won't ever get the rights to manage the new stadium

Probably cost them more then they made to fix it. Surely theres better ways of protecting the turf thats done at other stadiums

Why hate one direction? It's not their fault- they just rocked up to play a gig. They annoy me far less than a lot of other "musicians" out there.

The wafc on the other hand, just boggles the mind, really to have a concert where this damage is likely this close to the start of the football year.

Because they're not really musicians. One Erection are all that's wrong with today's music industry. Millions of dollars are pumped into unreality TV programs where they take average people and try to turn them into superstars, selling a sob story to try and hook people in rather than focus on the singing or fact that they aren't really good enough to make it on their own merit. Record companies aligned to the show then spend millions of dollars buying airtime to play these crap artists songs, taking away airtime from real artists who can write & perform their own tunes well. As soon as the show finishes a lot of the audience lose interest in that artist and a lot of them fade into obscurity while the next lot of kareoke wannabes vye for the audiences attention. It's a never ending cycle of shit artists producing shit songs.

Meh, shouldn't matter where we train.

For mine, its not the training element that is of concern, but the recovery. We can train anywhere, but we have our best recovery facilities at Subi. Training elsewhere means we either have to do a different recovery, or hop in a car after training and drive back to Subi. In recovery terms, the immediate recovery after activity is really important!

But, as noted, its also the only place we can have any closed training sessions, and also as we get closer to playing, far better to train in the environment we'll be playing. At Medibank on Friday night, it was very windy. Though you get wind in a stadium, it is very different.

So in essence, for the previous stages of Pre-Season I would agree, but at this point, with lots of match simulation and pre-season games being elsewhere (like Medibank & Rushton etc), we'd be better at Subi!

This.

If it was the start of the preseason where they just train at McGillvray anyway, it wouldnt really matter. But at this stage of the preseason its pretty bloody pathetic and inconvenient.

Why didn't they play at the Perth Arena? :drunk: Many freo fans are saying we should get over it yet if it happened to them they'd use it for their finals elimination excuse seven months away :D

Apparently the arena wasn't big enough for the crowd they expected. Also, it was a "stadium tour". Lamest excuse ever if you ask me.

Its the same as every other oval stadium, like the sydney stadium, concerts always damage the grass.
WAFC factor in the cost of oval repairs and still make $100k for the stadium use.
WAFC need all the funds they can get.

The new stadium will have the same problem.
If i was managing the stadium would of done the same thing.

Its inconvenient for us, but we will manage.

Much ado about nothing. Medibank is terrific and about 1km away. I understand what we'd prefer but, in the grand scheme of things, this is a big non-issue...
