As i sit here watching the highlights of the grand final I think about how some of these players are going to be looked back as out and out champions. But when explaining to the next generation of the hawk squadron, how will you remember them, what highlight will run through your head as you explain it.

lets talk both present and past day players!

a couple from the now to get the us started.

Jack Gunston, has to be the one-on-one body positioning. he's done it time and time again and really got it down to a fine art. Especially in the days of "hands in the back"

Matt Suckling - the kicking action. The slight lean to the right as he laces the ball of his left.

Luke Hodge - accepting Norm Smith Medals :P

Enjoy!

Yep, gibbo with the golden fist.
Lake's choke hold (only in emergencies)
The breust pick pocket
The rioli multi tackle
The hodge dummy that he flags to the entire stadium yet his opponent falls for it.
The gunston tease (kicking it JUST high enough that the defenders can't punch it)
Mitchell's triple dummy (left then righty then left again)

Burgoyne has two:

1: The old 'step up when I need to and save the match'.
2: Sheer class.

Burgoyne -"The break glass in case of emergency" last quarters
The Rat - Running towards 50 with his hair flowing a meter behind him
The Dunstall - Licking his fingers and taking a he breath through his piggy nostrils as he walked back to slot a goal
The Dipper dual headlock (Reserved for ugly as f*ck Geelong players)
Conans kick out style, hard to describe but I am sure plenty remember it.

Steve Johnson at about 15s: "you ******* campaigner, you're gone for the granny".

Got to love:

a) Birch cleaning guys up, which he does deceptively well... and

b) Steve Johnson's ability to concede a game that was probably still on in the minds of his team mates until he let that slip

We have Hodge, Mitchell and Burgoyne
along with others to provide leadership when the chips are down.

The Cats have Steve Johnson.

The Don Scott 'dummy spit' with mouth guard simultaneously turfed.

The Kel Moore Akimbo.

The Al Martello Wings out formation
