I don't think it's crisis time. We can't cut their feet off and put new ones on. If we could we might have tonight, but we can't
First drugs and sterilisation, now mutilation... What will Hird do next???

oogac - it's happening for real!

"I feel that the players are right behind him, as their endeavor is still there but their skill execution and decision making are really letting them down for whatever reason, be it saga or other factors.

Time is now for cool heads to prevail and not reactionary, panicked decisions as that hasn't exactly worked out so well for other clubs (eg.heck Carlton) in recent times.

Hirdy deserves the respect and patience of everyone that follows the club to see this rough time out, especially after the sacrifices he's taken for this club in recent times"

Well except for James Hird I have very close personal ties to both he and his family but other than that....
Or the fact that as someone with no ties to anyone I don't have access to any of the confidential evidence/investigations that actually matter so you may find the blog posts I've printed out less than useful

Re: WADA v 34 Essendon Football Club Players.
I am an aged pensioner, who has been basically home-bound for 12 years. I am a rugby fanatic, and although I had no ties whatsoever to the AFL, ASADA or Essendon FC, I became obsessed with the saga in July 2013 when a friend asked me to examine the process. Since then, I have spent 12 to 15 hours a day, seven days a week on the issue. I have 42 arch lever folders containing over 11,000 pages. I have not received a cent for my work.

You're ****ing shitting me

The above examples of duplicity and dishonesty don’t even scratch the surface. I re-typed ASADA’s report with one finger on one hand. It took me 26, twenty-hour days to re-type. I have pulled out countless examples of ASADA testifying in its own investigation. On many occasions ASADA’s own testimony was untrue. I have been through the report with a fine toothcomb. I can even tell you that ASADA bolded 112 sentences / phrases / words in the report but dishonestly only acknowledged bolding seven of them.

lol y u do dis 4 Bwuce?

Essendon coaches make the most convenient excuses.

"The players have been through such a journey … that the cloud has come back over them," Hird said in an interview on Triple M on Sunday.

"They don't specifically run out there thinking about WADA, but when you go through a journey like these guys have for two or three years and then you know this journey has got, maybe another year to go, it makes it harder rather than easier to play AFL football."

Giving zero respect to your opponent, typical.
Geelong weren't playing last night apparently
In fairness, you probably could have got more opposition in the second quarter and third quarter from witches hats than we provided.

yeah but hes saying its 99% Essendon playing bad. Didn't we go in favourites?

I guess what I'm more saying is, and this is not meant as disrespect to Geelong, but we were so terrible that I doubt much can be taken from the game from your perspective either.

Obviously Geelong were far, far better but with the frequency of our turnovers and general lack of effort from most of the side, anyone would have beaten us last night.

Geelong went in as favourites and rightly so, given form.

I am a strong supporter Hird & my beloved bombers ... James had a 3 year deal to coach Essendon.. This is year 3 .. But he was suspended for a year ... As we all know ... Thompson coached last year tried to change the game plan & coach differently to Hird .. We all need to stop pointing the finger at anyone ... Get behind this great club .. Our coaches & players and the board .. Support them ... But after last night I an at a loss ... Basic skills not on show last night .. Maybe the visit from Neale during the last took a total on them .. I really don't know ... I can tell you I agree with <name removed> views ... And for people calling for bomber(thecancerthompson) to come back ... Grow up stop trying to split this club in two ... James Hird is our coach .. Like him or not ... & the Team of players we have !!!! Get out and support the Mighty Bombers...!!!!!

This one... doesn't want... bomber... the cancer... thompson... back...
