It's easy to simply discuss we should target player A B or C but with a list analysis posters can see a) who is tradeable and b) where holes might be. While getting Treloar would be great I honestly believe getting Motlop or Motlop/Yarran together would serve us better. As I said last night we'd be a good chance of getting both Motlop and Yarran for not much more than what it would cost to get just Treloar and we'd find ourselves in much better shape list wise.Keep it on targets, not list analysis.
We saw when Vickery & Hampson played together than they could work well as a ruck combination and while Hampson might not be as potent as Vickery up forward he'd still give us a viable target deep forward that would allow the likes of Martin Deledio Edwards Motlop Yarran and co to crumb to. With Motlop and Yarran coming in I'd replace 2 of Hunt Lambert or Lennon. As for rotations the listed side isn't set in stone, you'd obviously mix and match as required to get the make up right to ensure we had inside ball winners and outside runners around the ball at all times. As the sub goes next year and rotation changes decrease I don't see any sides playing with only one ruckman . Which means sides will need to become even more flexible and even more players will need to have the ability to go through the midfield . Whilst I think the above side looks ok in a practical sense it isn't , the second change midfield I assume would be lambert , Martin ,lids or Edwards who with the exception of lambert do their best work outside . We literally have two inside mid beast in cotchin and miles and there after we are short . Out of interest if we got both Yarran and Motlop who would they replace IYO ?
